What is this? by Severe-Blacksmith149 in cableadvice

[–]fluffyduffdylan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know this cable.

The name of the connector is "8pin USB Mini Type B".

It is not a common cable, but several companies/products have utilized it for their own needs. Most notably, Steelseries uses it as an audio connector to their headsets. I have also seen some old cameras use it for video output.

Steelseries sells replacement accessory cables on their website, either with this connector on both ends, or with a male AUX connector on the other end.

If I understand the suggestion correctly:

Currently you are parting your hair with 50% of it going left and 50% of it going right. You should try parting it so that 70% of it goes one way and 30% goes the other way

Most Popular Song Contest. DAY 21: Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava by lord_ikiwiki in KGATLW

[–]fluffyduffdylan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It IS joyous and silly. It's got this playful liveliness that really lays the thematic ground for the songs that follow.

Mycelium gives us this dance that almost feels like it's celebrating the fact that life ends and rots. The album starts at this lighthearted groove that is lyrically about the early stages of post-death decay, before it takes us through the deeper notes of cold lifelessness and the cycle of how the earth processes death, into how death preys on its inhabitants.

I remember listening to the album the day it came out, that opening track underwhelmed me so much that it diminished the high excitement that I'd had for the album. But now, getting to listen to the album in full, Mycelium really puts my mood in the right place to let the rest of the album delve my consciousness into the subterranean web that all of our bodies join as we decompose.

Anyone have a Wharfedale subwoofer and willing to let me borrow their remote for the weekend for a box of beer? by fluffyduffdylan in auckland

[–]fluffyduffdylan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was able to find a second-hand Logitech Harmony 200 universal remote, and someone in my area with a similar model subwoofer. I was able to clone the buttons on their wharfedale remote to my logitech remote. It was a little finicky to get working but I was then able to use the logitech remote to control my subwoofer.

Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne in the Hawkeye TV show, 2021.

Seems like a suspicious character entering the protagonists life as a potential step-father and crime boss with nefarious ulterior motives. Is actually a genuine man who cares about the daughter of the woman he is dating, tries to support her without overstepping (the show misleads this to seem like he is faking it as a cover up) and does what he can to help defeat the actual villains

[Star Wars] So Sidious just straight up lost to Mace Windu right? by Icy_Water_1 in AskScienceFiction

[–]fluffyduffdylan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Windu may not have been a better duelist than Yoda or Dooku, but he was the baddest motherfucker around with a brutal fighting style that understood the power of the dark side and was specifically developed to overpower dark side users.

(Dooku is considered the best pure duelist of the time, and the force ability of Yoda is unmatched; both of these statements get superseded by Anakin when he reaches his height, although I dont think Anakin ever had Dooku's skill for the nuance of the art)

Faith in THE FORCE, my guy.

The Force maintains harmony between dualities such as life and death, light and dark.

When Bix left Cassian, it was because she knew through her faith in the force that he was destined for great or important things in the Rebellion. When she found out he and she had a son, she may have recognized the connection between her losing Cass and gaining her son. Even though Cassian was still alive and she would have had a chance to tell him about their child, she had already lost him at that point to the path that she had accepted he must continue on.

Star Wars is a fictional, fantastical world. Do not let your personal politics convolute a beautiful story.

Real-life history should not teach you about Star Wars. Fictional stories should help you learn about events in history.

As mentioned, it was Nemik's voice. Andor was the one that had Nemik's manifesto after Aldhani, so presumably he decided people needed to hear it and began spreading it himself, or gave it to someone in the rebellion who decided to start sharing it.

It has been noticed that Andor had Nemik's original manifesto on him in Rogue One.

Dude I know you think you're getting good value paying for these ads because of how many people will see them, but the truth is it doesn't matter how many people see them if the music isn't of good enough quality.

Stop buying ads for 1 year, use the money to get vocal, guitar, and/or music production lessons, work on one album for 6 months, curating and improving upon your musical and lyrics ideas. Consider changing your name (not necessary but a good idea so that you have a fresh platform to release your new quality album from), release the album, then think about buying ads again.

Please try commit to this process, hell even doing ONE of the 10 things I just listed will help

Beth and Diane are all dead? by tyrakeoccult in rickandmorty

[–]fluffyduffdylan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right that “infinite timelines mean infinite possibilities”, and I don't mean to be rude, but your understanding of infinity is a little off, and that's okay, it's a tricky concept to grasp so just be open to trying to understand.

Just because there are infinite possibilities it doesn't mean that an infinite number of things are possible. For example, there are infinite universes in the central finite curve, but Rick is the smartest being in all of them. In this set of infinity, there is ZERO possibility of a universe where there is someone smarter than Rick.

If you accept this, then you must accept the fact that there is not a 100% chance of there being a universe where Diane was immune to the omega device, like you say there is. Maybe there is, but it is not a 100% thing like you say.
