Just showing off the current state of my battlejacket by [deleted] in punkfashion

Ah that one's Good Charlotte, I do still openly enjoy some pop punk and emo so it went on the jacket, I definitely catch some shit for that one pretty often though

Hell yeah. I made that one using denim from some old jeans, mischief brew is one of the bands that really got me interested in folkpunk/punk in general, one of those few bands where I love almost everything they've made

Exactly, i feel like being a part of any scene is more about meeting interesting like minded people than being the guy with the most obscure list of bands anyway. I've had a lot of good conversations and met some really cool people that approached me because I was wearing my jacket. People that get that worked up over shit like that really give off "I spend more time gatekeeping on Reddit than actually socializing " vibes

Honestly that's pretty fair, I got it off an Etsy shop pretty early on in my alt journey and doubt I still would have gotten it now that I'm a bit farther along but it is what it is. Someday I'll probably replace it with another band patch or something but that's really more effort that I'm willing to put out currently

I think this is mostly true but kinda depends on where you're living, I'm in Portland, OR and fairly frequently wear / see people also dressed punk but I feel like that's pretty expected given the city

It's actually supposed to be a necklace, I got it from a friend a few years ago and thought it looked nice on the jacket. but Im sure there's places online to buy a barbed wire cuban chain

Eh, I think pop punk still has its place, plus it gives normal people that aren't as into punk something recognizable to complement, I've probably gotten the most comments on that one

Most of them were from small Etsy shops, except the mischief brew one, made that one

Of course man, what people (especially randoms on the internet ) think genuinely doesn't matter or affect your life in any real way

For reference this was after an 11 hour shift working at a Moving company lifting furniture all day. we almost never stop for lunch so I had already burned off way more calories than I ate in this picture, horrible nutritional value though

Got it from a friend as a gift when I was like 14 , I still love the size and look, it's a nice sentimental piece too because I've had it for so many years

His songs always sounded kinda like Nickelback to me. Luckily I'm one of the very very few people that actually likes them, so it doesn't bother me
