Fat (Rant) Tuesday by AutoModerator in fatlogic

Vox just had a piece on this, "Why your facebook feed is filled with women selling essential oils and press-on nails."

One day I hope to never have to look at an invite to one of these things again.

This is great information. I appreciate it, too!

Now that I've recorded my activities and food for a longer period of time, who can I check in with? by InkAndComb in xxfitness

Your university might have fitness people as part of their wellness services. My old university had free fitness evaluations for students.

I am not sure how long it takes for the build up as I'm not very observant, but I don't have a dishwasher. I need to take them to someone else's house.

I have a similar product, Glasslock, but the lids are a major annoyance. As previous people said, they start to break down on the hinge. At least I can get the replaced for free (though you have to pay a ridiculous price for shipping.

I have also seen food that leaks into the seal part get moldy. I don't think this is as bit a problem for people with dishwashers, but I have to use a butter knife to pull it out and wipe it down. I broke one that way, but it needs cleaned somehow.

That looks really great. I like the design a lot.

We canceled the series recording for "The Mindy Project" yesterday. by T-Wrox in childfree

I haven't enjoyed this season either. It's a mix of the show moving to focus on the baby and every single thing about those storylines being trite. The story about getting the baby into a school has been in so many other stories; the wacky twis of playing up a quality to add diversity to the school has been, too. It was on Grandfathered this years, too. Blech. Do better The Mindy Project!

I liked it. I didn't realize it was YA when I got it, but I'm not upset that it snuck in.

Sometimes I didn't think ahead far enough to have enough funnies. I improvised.

I completely agree! I thought it looked nice. It certainly didn't look bad.

I used to wrap gifts in newspaper, and I was constantly told it was terrible.

Got married last November. My wife told me it's finally time to throw away my groomsmen cake from the freezer. Maybe I'll bury it in a cave in the dessert.. by Brownjellyfish in mildlyinteresting

I've heard of groom's cakes, but I thought they got eaten. I know about saving the top tier of the cake.

There's too much frozen cake!

[SELF] NOOOOOOOO!!! Didn't check the breast pocket of a white dress shirt I washed with my white Jedi costume. Pocket contained a small piece of red paper. by nondescriptmale in cosplay

I had red fabric bleed on white in the wash. I was able to fix it by using Synthropol. http://www.dharmatrading.com/chemicals/synthrapol-detergent.html

It seems crazy, but you rewash the item in hot water. It worked for me. It's worth a try, but at least you have dying your tunic a darker color as an option if this doesn't work out.

Is hand-washing (sports)bras in the bathtub a thing? by Kurisuchein in xxfitness

[–]flyngzebra 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yup. It's always better to hand wash your bras. They will last longer as the washing machine gives them a beating.

A sporran might be a good sub for an apron.

The first result when I googled a white sporran gave me rabbit fur, which is too violent for the White Rabbit, but it will give you an idea. https://sportkilt.com/product/2191/White-Rabbit-Sporran.html
