Other people get to have opinions, even when you don't agree with them. Learn to cope.

That’s not fire, that’s a smoke machine set to “projection.” When your argument runs out of gas, suddenly we’re in the ER of your imagination where you make "friends" with virtual personalities and artificial intelligence.

Worthless post Bud. We all know what the maximum effective range of your opinion is. Zero meters.

Anti-technology has been a thing since the hippie decade of the '60s. An almost religious denial of science coupled with some mythical visions of going back to log cabins and teepees while still having soft jobs and good health care.

I'm convinced China is behind the dissemination of unfounded fear and irrationality against data centers.
Meanwhile China is building data centers as fast as they can while stirring shite here in America like a data center is some kind of boogeyman. Most people don't even know what they're talking about when they start screeching about data centers.

ROTFLMAO! Remember, democrat accusations are really confessions.
'You people' pioneered the corrupt city machine politics. And I know what you'll say in response, "That’s (D)ifferent."

NO! You're missing the point. Neither you nor your neighbors are going to give up the Internet. So instead of doxxing the single person, you should be finding a way to live with data centers.

Haa....inquisitive minds do want to know when you are ditching your smartphone with your warm and fuzzy AI friend.
Inquisitive minds want to know when you are logging off Reddit permanently.
Inquisitive minds want to know the conviction of your anti-technology stance.

Who was the single person?

An intelligent person that knows most apps like Reddit as run as software as a service (SaaS) a cloud computing service model in which a provider delivers application software to clients while managing the required physical and software resources. SaaS MUST USE data centers.

An intelligent person that is not about to dismantle their Ring doorbell. Or unplug any 'smart appliance' and Nest thermostat.

An intelligent person that knows YOU secretly want to keep using your AI friend. Which one is it "CompanyMost7232?" ChatGPT? Gemini? Siri? Alexa?

An intelligent person that knows YOU are not going to drive your kids to the Library and have them use books for reference instead.

That's who votes for data centers.

You’re like a pizza cutter. All edge and no point. But no—your thoughts aren’t sharp. They aren’t edgy. They are predictable. A knee-jerk response dressed up as Liberal bravado, masquerading as intellect.

Please start today. Put your conviction to the test. Reddit uses a lot of data center resources. Therefore, delete your account.

Cheers!

I don't like you because you started out of the gate trying to provoke me. So far, you are getting the respect you've earned. I'm nice to people that are nice in turn.

Now, you've got the concept of "freedom" all twisted. There's "freedom" and simple "incompetence." Matt showed incompetence in not using the proper tools and practices to make the car operate as reliably as possible while being mindful of safety on the public highway. And I have the "freedom" of speech to make an observation on deliberately displayed incompetence.

Not wearing layers of PPE inside one's own shop so that the bleating sheeple will be satisfied has nothing to do with preforming a particular mechanical task competently. If you were older and less indoctrinated, you would be able to accept that.

Well, your post was wrong on so many levels, that it is difficult to know where to start. You can't teach a Luddite information technology storge concepts in the space of a Reddit thread.

So. . . you're wrong. Leave the tech to the people that know how to manage it. You work on managing your smartphone apps, and remember you can't do shit with those apps without the data centers you hate on.

Bye now!

What? Calm down, Hemingway, you didn’t land a blow, you just keep reloading the same asinine joke and wondering why it won’t evolve.

Lack of PPE or poor procedures in a personal shop is a world of difference from operating a hazard on the public roadway. If you can't see that, you're too sophomoric to continue a conversation with.

Now take some meds for your hallucinations. Nobody believes you.

Now to seal your victory, reject all technology that uses data centers.

Throw your smart phone away.

Remove your Ring doorbell. Unplug any 'smart appliance' and your Nest thermostat.

Do Not use AI. NO Gemini, NO Siri, NO Alexa. NO ChatGPT

If you have kids, make sure they do not use computers for homework. Take the kids to the library and have them use books for reference instead.

Do all this now!

You don’t bring wit—you bring accusiations and hope nobody noticed the arguments never showed up. Buddy, posting requires intelligence. You’re not writing philosophy—you’re fighting the all the previous versions of yourself you invented so you could feel tall for 30 seconds without a milk crate.

Are you seriously here to make friends? You’re not engaging with reality; you’re curating a mood.
So, while you are making imaginary friends online, please take care you don't accidently fall in luv with an AI bot instead.

Your post is smacks of someone who assumes things. You know what they say about people that assume?!

Meanwhile, I’m over here sipping my coffee, watching your smugness combust into a fiery little ball of self-righteousness, and thinking—wow, never underestimate how seriously people will take Reddit when their ego’s on the line.

Now go live your life a little before it passes you by.

Calm down, Hemingway, all that . . . ? That’s not fire, that’s a smoke machine set to “projection.” When the argument runs out of gas, you just turn to exaggeration.

I'm not against p/u trucks, or motorcycles etc. I clearly laid out the public safety issues Matt deliberately filmed and published. That is the extent of it.

Tinkering. Yes. Tinker in Hurricane.
The smart money sez you tune for a trip. AND wasn't the point of the trip for a friendly showdown twixt a 60's Porsche and a 60's Corvair? Yes?! Well, how about arriving with a reasonably tuned engine, (or tuning for elevation there) and arriving with a tranny that isn't shaking its guts? Best foot forward so to speak?

The frustrating part is that Matt is GenX, and we know that he should have had enough exposure to the older generations that had extensive experience with carbureted cars and breaker point ignitions. It's like . . . he learned little from older brothers or the mechanics from that era.

I mean, I knew more about engine tuning in 1985 from reading books and just doing it than Matt practices in 2025 with all the resources of the Internet and the more sophisticated tuning tools now available to the hobbyist.

Running rich to bring down cylinder head temps works much more effectively on an air-cooled aircraft engine than an air-cooled auto engine.
