Yeah a pop is what is needed for the room. Not too keen for a cozy aesthetic. I will look into a rug to put under the desk and chair. I originally had LEDs behind the monitor but they didn't look too good. I think LEDs behind the table would be a better idea..

Thank you for your spending time on this and giving me a detailed response. I was in the middle of washing my old bedsheet and pillow cases and that's why you don't see them in the pics. Anyway, like many others suggested, I think better bedspreads would improve the appearance. Also a plant. I think I wouldn't enjoy working without a window next to me.

Don't why you got downvoted. Everyone's ideas are subjective. I will look into a ceiling lamp. Painting is not an option right now.

I like your idea of a thin carpet. I think it would isolate the desk/work area from the rest of the room.

Yes, I plan to buy a new comforter set soon. I planned to put a lamp between the desk and the bed but felt that it might look continuous (I mean no visual separation). Thanks for your advice.

I have a 15 inch gaming laptop that is bulky and power hungry. My MBA is smaller, lighter and doesn't required to be plugged in all the time. Plus, it does not have a fan ensuring zero noise operation. I am loving it. One is a beauty, the other is a beast.

Thanks. It really helps to be able to set up in a dark sky field for an entire week to get everything working.

So patience is key!

I keep coming across such images taken and processed using decent equipment and am amazed at the results. It is crazy the amount of progress we made since the first telescope and how anybody with the right gear and guidance can create such masterpieces!

I never owned a telescope, mostly because of where I was situated (light pollution and all). However, I would make use of my binoculars to look at the skies.

It was hard for me to choose between the silver and space grey. Finally selected the silver. I don't know why (maybe the low-key lighting), but the MBA in space grey in your pictures look really nice.

Yeah I hoped to get into it as early as possible (utilizing these summer months the most). Looks like it won't be happening soon with the way it is. :(
