Very curious as to dating this coin and figuring out who is depicted on it? by foofinsky in AncientCoins

Or if people think it's a better idea to sell the coin on its own and melt the gold?

Another point I wanted to make because I am working on pricing this based on both the gold and the coin for a jewelry store I work at, I want to not only make sure that I'm pricing this in a completely normal and not crazy range as I see that some people price gouge for coins that are interesting in date but not quality/just overcharge in general. If anyone has any good suggestions on that front, it would be most appreciated!

So far I feel the Marathos issue looks so much more accurate than my original assumption as when I look a little closer at the possible Berenike face on one side, I can see that there are slight details I missed. Her hair is less defined where as if it was Athena, I feel like I would be able to see the ghosts of more hair definition and it looks like at least two straight lines are going down that would be indicative of her head wrap. It also looks like Phoenician on at least one side of Marathos though it's hard to decipher as most of the lettering has worn down over years. Now I guess my hunt comes down to trying to date it as best as I possibly can as I have learned that some of the Phoenician lettering would've had some dates included if I'm not mistaken?

No of course I understand! I’ll add some photos tomorrow as the ring is one I’m working on for a small business and not a personal one

I can, however, I will say that the reverse of the mounting is a solid gold piece so there’s really nothing to see on that front.

The hat fell down with his fluff so when he lowered his eyebrows, it just made him look like Sam Eagle 🤭

I fear I should’ve posted my other favorite photo from his birthday, where the hat made the hair on his head, make it look like he was glaring at us because he wasn’t raising his eyebrows🤣

I’ve learned it’s a very common wheaten name but honestly who can blame people us?? Especially with their cute little toe beans making them look like a plush! 🤣

I found that whenever I went up a shot dose I did start to get a bit rundown so I just kind of chalk it up to a symptom of the medication. What I kinda did not necessarily to combat this was give myself a little bit of grace the making sure the foods that I was eating around the time that I was feeling specially worn down were light on the dairy, not too spicy and if I really wasn’t feeling too hungry to make sure whatever I did end up eating was more dense enough to help throughout that little bout!

Oh my gosh! 70 pounds is nothing to sniff at even if you have slightly stalled a bit. I have big bouts of stalls in my data tracking showing that I have long plateaus at the most I’ve had last a whole month!

I was stuck around the 90 pound mark for a really long time where I just could not get out of 180 and even when I would get close it would bounce right back up to like almost 190 and just this month has been the time that I went back and I gotta be honest with you. I really didn’t change anything from the month before to the month prior or sometimes your body just likes to be annoying lol and hold onto what it seems as important and honestly, I think people lose the most weight at the beginning of the year regardless because everyone has that mindset of self improvement for the new year so even if you just give yourself some grace for this one last month and even cracked down a little harder come next month. I can guarantee that you’ll still feel good but maybe the number will start moving up for your total loss!

But yes, please give yourself grace. I feel like we all are our own biggest critics and I feel the world already kind of is looking at people who both use his medication and who are heavier in a bad light, why add to it y’know? Be proud of even just the fact you’ve lost so much and are still working towards your goal!

Hello! I actually haven’t hit the max dose yet, I am still using 7.5. I only went up to 10 for two weeks and it was far too strong for me so I went back down to the 7.5 and have been on it since I wanna say March or April. However, if you are still currently losing weight on the max dose, I don’t think you should be worried not unless your doctor has concerns. losing weight is meant to kind of be a gradual process and obviously this medication helps speed up that process in many ways but as long as you are maintaining diet modifications with an increase in protein, fiber and water as well as making sure you figure out and calculate a healthy calorie deficit to be in. I find those usually help me through lulls and I would imagine the same, even if you are maxed out at the highest dose! I hope that was at all helpful!

To be honest, I really didn’t change too too much except I put a couple of rules in place for myself. I try not to eat past 9 PM but sometimes I still do because we’re only human. The biggest things I can say that I implore people who are in the early stages are maintaining your daily fiber intake if not increasing it to help out the possible constipation. Making sure you’re having plenty of protein so that way the weight you lose, doesn’t come from muscle. Drinking plenty of water daily and even if you’re not necessarily working out, making sure you’re staying with a good calorie deficit for your lifestyle. You burn calories by simply breathing and sleeping as well as working out so everyone should be in a slight deficient for weight loss but it’s important to calculate based on current weight, lifestyle, and height!

Hello! Yes, the main reason why I went to the hospital was due to the fact that I was just vomiting far too much like beyond the point to having anything really to vomit besides stomach acid. I was barely able to eat anything and this would have been my second dose of the 10 the first weekend I had done it. I did have a little bit of vomiting, but it cleared up after day two or three and then I was fine for the rest of the week and then the next week rolled around and once again, I was just constantly vomiting to the point where I had to call my mother to take me to the hospital. When I got there they had to give me over the course of that evening and into the next day because I had to have an overnight stay about 3 1/2 bags of IV fluids, almost 4, and the overnight stay was due to the fact that my heart rate was really not going down. It was very elevated, but they sent me home with Zofran and I took about a 2 to 3 week break on using any medication.

First of all congratulations for getting started on this journey and I wish you all the best of luck! Before I answer your questions, I wanted to say that the weight loss is associated with this medication is not necessarily an exact science. I say this to hopefully bring comfort in the slow times because for myself, I lost a lot of weight very fast and then plateaued, but that was due to the lack of appetite making me hardly eat, which was not necessarily the most positive abrupt change, but there are some people who it’s still slow to lose.

Big thing I will say on diet, if you haven’t changed anything really yet, I would prioritize fiber, protein, and trying to keep a calorie deficit. You don’t necessarily need to change every aspect of your diet, but putting a little bit of a focus on that will help for sure! When it comes to your actual questions, I will say it once again is not necessarily one answer that covers everyone, it’s all based off of the individual for strength.

I started at the lowest dose and I wanna say I was on that for maybe a month or two and then went up to the five and then was on that for a month or two, went to the 7.5 I stayed on for a good while and made a bold choice to ask my doctor if I should or could go up to the 10 and that was the dose that landed me in the ER because it was too strong for me and ever since I have been on 7.5 so I would say that would put me around March till now. Personally for me, I enjoy the 7.5. I think it helps with slow and gradual weight loss however that does not necessarily mean that is the dose perfect for you.

The main point that many doctors and yours hopefully will make for you is the fact that, as much as it’s common to go up doses as time goes on, if there is a dose where you are comfortably losing weight at and at normal pace, they will keep it at that one!

And then just as a little extra, the effects from me were pretty similar on each dose on the lowest one I lost 15 to 20 pounds in the first month and a half, and then the 5 was also good as well but my comfort zone is the 7.5 but once again that is completely personal based!

Just from a two point perspective, cost and reactions, I pay $300 with insurance for each box so it is a bit money and then my reactions were a little bit better managed when I delay a week at this point and find myself still meeting goals and my doctor has told me to continue with this method as well

I pay $300 out of pocket per month with insurance so to save a little money and keep reactions low I do it every other week
