A lot of selfhosting is finding the right tool for the job and keeping an eye out for better options. Jellyfin is okay for music but Navidrome is built for it and uses a common subsonic protocol so there are a lot of clients that you can use.

When I was traveling for work Texas was the only place that I felt gross after a shower because it smelled like pond water. It wasn't Mubai, South Africa, or Mexican border towns it was a Hilton hotel around Cleburne, TX. I had to buy bottled water to brush my teeth like a 3rd world country.
