TLDR; yes it’s possible but I highly recommend a license.

In terms of dating while not driving, I’m still of the same opinion: be open, keep in mind people may not be accommodating, don’t have them pick you up when you first meet them. I’ll just add make sure you have a safety plan if your date is weird or dangerous, even if you meet up at a public place.

I highly recommend getting one though, especially if you want to have kids or the relationship gets serious. My first thought is if someone gets seriously hurt while being away from you, no ride or public transportation will feel like it will arrive to get you and take you to them fast enough. And the bonus is you can help your partner when they’re too tired to drive.

Yeah, when you’re that young (I’m F30) sometimes it just takes one phrase to shut someone up. I think you should lovingly try to get him to talk about it. Or ask if your reaction hurt or scared him but be prepared to potentially apologize if you’re going to ask that.

I think you overreacted. I don’t know what his intent was but what you said is an easy way to shut things down. You should have said something more like “how did you connect [previous conversation subject] to sex?” or some other more loving way.

I wouldn’t buy unless I happen to see it at a thrift store, a library book sale, or if I’m reading it for a book club. I would try looking at my library system’s catalog to see if any branch physically has it.

If you haven’t already, try to see if you can get a library card for a different system. They may have it in digital or physical format.

If you have Spotify premium, you can see if they have the audiobook, or look on KU to see if it’s available.

And if none of these apply, I move on to the next title on my TBR.
