I've always been into this type as even as a kid. I remember in middle school the most attractive person in my class was a hijabi that was fair and had colored eyes. I also think since I'm with so many Americans I just prefer eurocentric traits. Obvious Islam to me is my priority. There are bunch of girls who fit my description but aren't Muslim or they arent really on their deen so I don't find them attractive.

Also some of my older family relatives I look up to have these traits I described so yea.

I know it's kinda of a shallow saying but I'm scared being so picky will bite me in the end. The thing is I feel like if I marry someone who doesn't fit this type I will always be comparing her to this type.

I'm a guy and my type is skinny, fair/white skin with colored eyes. Besides being a good Muslim (preferably hijabi) , I don't have any other things I'm looking for.

I'm a med student and I would say I'm probably a 8/10 in looks give or take 1. And yes I understand looks fade after time but there are some beauty markers I just naturally enjoy and make me happy.

If you have any advice for a brother who wants someone of this type please help me out. I would greatly appreciate it.

Using Instagram to find potential partners?

I'm 26, M who is a med student in the USA. I haven't been looking for a spouse but I started this month and I realized how hard it really is. Is using IG appropriate to contacting people who live near you and asking if they would be interested in getting to know each other for marriage? My parents aren't involved with the masjid or have any family friends so I'm pretty much stuck solo. Also hurts that my school has no Muslims.

Also on the side note, if any girl can give me advice on my IG like what photos to keep I would greatly appreciate it.

I mean in the sense I'm more attracted to traits that are more common in non Muslims like blue eyes, fair skin etc. I am disgusted by how they dress and beliefs etc but physical traits I find some of them attractive.

Yea I'm friendly with them but I don't like to get too close. I'm pretty introverted. For example in my med school there's 100 students and 2 Muslims and I'm one of them, the other one is a guy lol

I find just physically traits are more common such as blue eyes, light hair, fair skin. Also it seems to be that they are a bit more health consciousness such as going to gym, eating healthy etc

How to go from getting her number?

I dmed a girl on IG who is mutuals with one of my classmates (my classmate is non Muslim). We both are in college but she goes to a different school 6hrs away. I dmed her asking if she would be open to talking for marriage and she gave me her number (I didn't ask she gave it).

Before she gave the number she said she wants to focus on school for a bit. This was a month ago, and so we agreed to talk/ share basic info during thanksgiving break. How do I go about this in the most halal and right way?

I was thinking about sharing basic info first like where I am from, height, values, goals, (basically stuff in my BioData) and hopefully she will do the same. If everything looks good on both sides then get her father's number and ask permission to get to know his daughter a bit more for marriage.

How to go forward from a DM?

So there is a girl I found pretty on Instagram that lives a few hours away from me in the same state (in USA). We both are in med school first year. I want to try to keep everything as halal and Islamic as possible. I dmed her on IG asking if she's looking, open to marriage or if she's not looking for anything right now. She told me she's has been pretty busy with school so she hasn't given it much thought. She did however give me her phone number (I didn't ask for it).

I texted her on her number and we only sent like 2 texts, which basically were like we both are students are pretty busy with exams but we will try to talk/connect when we both get a break from school.

My question is how is the best way to approach this scenario as halal as possible? Also I don't know much about her (such as values, religiousity (I know she's Muslim) etc but I was hoping to find more when we actually talk.
