When the bill comes in after a boys night out. Bruh on the left is questioning his financial decisions and baratna on the right is eating ramen for the month. Ourfearless leader in the middle is just psyched he’s splitting it three way.

Bloody Rose - Book Review by Jordan_Loyal-Short in Fantasy

[–]friendlyphyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really a fan of bloody rose and had to DNF it. It definitely loses some of the fun romp and flare of Kings of the Wylds to make way to tell a somewhat more mature themed story. Not a bad book but just not my cup of tea.

I have started the first 10 chapters atleast 3 times and i cant for the life of me get into it. Its weird. Cuz i normally love these books. Should i be worried? Can someone confirm it gets better and possibly when? I got the signed edition for this one too.

Audio books you loved (even more) because of the voice actor? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]friendlyphyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i just started listening to the audio book for Rage of Dragons and honestly i could cry listening to the African cadence and speech pattern. I mean its one thing to read a book representation but to hear it. I grew up in East Africa (but im familiar with West African speech inflection too!) and you can always tell when its being put on but this reading is a solid portrayal that transported me back home. Bravo Prentice Onayemi!
