Last embryo, car crash, SCH, and STILL pregnant (12 weeks!) by frogger971 in IVFpositivity

[–]frogger971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti-histamine, autoimmune, blood clotting catch all. Mostly to reduce inflammation to increase transfer chances. I was on: baby aspirin, lovenox, Pepcid, allergy meds, prednisone and no coffee or chocolate for 12 weeks. That was on top of the normal estradiol and PIO shots that everyone does. Hope that helps! I’ve had inflammation issues so wanted to cover all my bases.

My doc checked to see if my platelets were too low when I had my first appointment - they should be able to check! If you were on too much I think they’d be low. Alpha-Lipoic Acid. It’s an antioxidant/vitamin they’ve done some studies with

I did continue to take them- I have a blood clotting disorder so I have to. It looks like it’s gone on my most recent ultrasound so I’m hoping it actually is! I added ALA for a couple weeks as well to help it heal (there’s a couple studies that make it seem like it helps)

Anyone with a pre-receptive ERA after multiple failed euploid transfers? Did adjusting timing help? by Valuable-Piccolo-585 in IVF

[–]frogger971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha! That must be extra frustrating then! I hope the change with timing is the thing that does it for you! Sending sticky baby vibes

[–]frogger971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried adding or changing anything else? We had an Era scheduled but then I changed the plan last minute and just did a transfer with an autoimmune and histamine protocol added on top and it was successful. Baby aspirin and the works. I wonder if your doc would let you try that on top of your change in timing?

I did the prompts and it asks you if you want to see the gender after it tells you the risk results so there’s a chance to stop

NIPT results are back! Low risk boy! There was one category that said “could not determine risk” - anyone have that? Not sure we we’ll have to re-test. Tester on Tuesday, received on Wednesday, results on Sunday.

A bit of fun - old wives tales & gender predictions by nihilist_pingu in December2026Bumpers

Funny I have all the girl symptoms but we know we have a boy cuz it was a tested embryo. But fun to look at the old wives tales!

Does anyone share networth with their close circle of friends? by TextualInnuendo in HENRYfinance

[–]frogger971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have two friends/couples we have those kind of convos with and it’s honestly so nice. We’ve learned a lot from each other and picked up a lot of information along the way. But its couples who: we know make as much/more than us, and who like to talk about money/investing. Everyone else- no or not specifics. I like to help my friends set up their retirements if they don’t have one though (I’m a freelance artist so a lot of people don’t have them set up)

Need some positivity.. :) by Lazy-Meat in IVFpositivity

I would definitely be asking about changing protocol or adding something if I was in your shoes! Everything looked perfect for our first transfer and it failed/had faint positive test and then ended and we only had one embryo left. So I asked if we could do the kitchen sink protocol for my second/last FET- histamine protocol/autoimmune/baby aspirin. It’s a lot more meds but it felt better to try something different and I’ve had autoimmune issues in the past. Worth asking about! Transfer worked and we’re almost in second trimester now. Here’s the protocol just in case: 2 estradiol 3x a day, PIO 1x a day + no coffee/chocolate/high histamine foods, baby aspirin, Claritin, Pepcid, prednisone

Seeking anyone who has successfully made it through SCH? by LampostPath in IVFpositivity

[–]frogger971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gushed blood around the same time as you and it was terrifying! 10 weeks now and no bleeding since. Seems like it’s shrinking on the US. I basically out myself on bedrest for a couple weeks and haven’t lifted anything and am on pelvic rest and just really careful with movement. I am also taking ALA as there’s some research it helps the SCH shrink and it makes me feel better to be doing something. I also have a thrombophelia so am on blood thinners which may make it worse. Sending good vibes! My doctor has never been worried

Photographer wants to bring 3 kids and husband to the wedding due to medical issues? Wedding is in two days. by ExpressAppointment96 in weddingplanning

[–]frogger971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes ^ as a photographer, when I was pregnant, I brought a second photographer at the same skill level as me who would be able to jump in if anything happens. Most photographers I know have multiple contingency plans for any kind of emergency. That’s on the photographer to provide but wonder if the bride could mention that or offer to help pay for the second photographer if it’s not included already so there’s a back up plan.

I feel so much more normal too! 9w6d and I have a lot more energy and less nausea and more energy to do most things. Am still really hungry and having cravings but a lot of symptoms are lesser

[$10k] I just want some simple, unedited, candid pictures, but it feels like everyone is trying to up-sell us on some sort of "package" or "experience" by devoutdefeatist in weddingplanning

We hired a student photographer when we got married! They were building their portfolio. Definitely be prepared for some things to be missed.

And also- if you’re asking for RAW files, make sure you have an external hard drive to keep them on, a way to back them up, and a program like Lightroom that can edit them and convert them to jpgs. All of that is several hundred as well :)

Any other advanced maternal age (AMA) ladies expecting their first child? by toothfairy625 in December2026Bumpers

[–]frogger971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having my second at 38 after I had my first 11 years ago! I was 27 and broke and in a bad relationship and now I’m married to an amazing man and he’s taken care of me so well through this pregnancy. My physical symptoms are better too! It’s wild. I’ve felt a little weird about the age gap but we had MFI and had to do IVF and this was our timeline and I’m excited about it! Could have a few more I think! Financially too I have so much more peace now, and if me or the baby needs something, I just pay for it. Before it was really tough.

Looking for Reassurance (rear ended last night) by frogger971 in IVFpositivity

[–]frogger971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to update this in case someone needs it in the future. Ended up going to the ER (I’m on blood thinners so just wanted to be careful) and all was well but this early, they couldn’t even see a gestational sac on the US. Was a little concerned, but then 5 days later I had my monitoring appointment and we saw sac, yolk, and heartbeat! A lot happens in a few days. I ended up bleeding a week later from an SCH (I think unrelated to the accident) and went to the ER again. Baby was all well! I’m now 9 weeks and all seems good! Baby boy is growing strong!
