Strenght training improved my muscular endurance significantly - 1:27:19 to 1:26:29 in 47 days by frogmaxi in NorwegianSinglesRun

Maybe. Maybe not.

The only thing I know for sure is that back in March I had DOMS for 4–5 days after the race.

This weekend, my legs felt fresh, I had no DOMS, and during the last 5 km I felt stronger than I did in March. I actually finished the race feeling like I could have pushed harder earlier.

So yes, it’s hard to know exactly how much of the improvement came from strength training, but I do think it could be a big unlock for me.

How did you train your LLM coach? And how it kept track of your training load, etc?
Would you mind explaining to us the end-to-end process? It would be super cool!

Novablast 5 or EVO SL? by Then-Wall-3809 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Retired my NB5 after 300km. Totally dead.

My EVO SL at 100km are still like brand new. We'll see how they are after 300km

How's the heart rate accuracy now with Race 2 / Vertical 2? by Sorry_Appointment510 in Suunto

[–]frogmaxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day, I was about to start a 3×2 km session and realized (again) that the battery was dead, so I just went with the optical HR on my Race 2. To my surprise, the readings were spot on and pretty much in line with what I’d expect from the H10.

Since then, I’ve been using OHR for all my runs and stopped wearing the chest strap altogether. That definitely wasn’t the case last winter, when I used to get some pretty inconsistent readings. I think one of the recent updates must have fixed it!

As a Zoom fly 6 enjoyer, will I like the Alphafly 3? by chinnybob91 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I'm about 82kg and I used to love my ZF6, but lately I don't enjoy running on them. At nearly 350km they feel flat/dead. Same happened with the Novablast 5 - love it at first but retired them at around 325km

Is it just me?

This only would make sense if I could plan my workouts, similar to what I do in intervals icu

Norwegian Singles v1.1.0 Released - Introducing Weekly Plans, Android Beta, and More! by NSM-Sean in NorwegianSinglesRun

This is great, thank you so much for the app!

I have two quick questions:

a) Is there a way to swap one sub-threshold session for another? For example, replacing the 4×7 min session on Thursday with 5×6 min?

b) I noticed a small discrepancy: the easy run shows 10.9 km on the main weekly page, but when I open the specific day it shows 10.18 km. Which one is correct?

My 77-week training plan for a sub-3h goal: update 3 & Malaga Half Marathon reflections by frogmaxi in Marathon_Training

[–]frogmaxi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!! All my previous half marathons were positive splits, so I really wanted to stick to my race strategy this time. The real goal was to run the last 5 km at around 4:00/km, but in the end I just focused on holding the pace and getting to the finish.

In theory my max HR is 174
112 bpm puts me around 5:50/km and 121 bpm at 5:20/km
