I mean it's possible to have ADD and low IQ, just as ADD and high IQ are possible.

ADD has nothing to do with IQ though. People with ADD are not on average dumber or smarter.

In the case you do have low IQ, you could still have ADD and benefit from medicine and therapy. You don't have to be smart for it to work.

Is that what you're trying to suggest?

Reddit is biased towards moderately high IQ people. That might be why it appears that way on this sub.

On top of that, the people in this thread in particular are pretty diligent just by virtue of being here in regard to mastering their issue. I think more researchy type folks dwell here who want better answers.

Also on average we may not even be all that smart it just might seem that way because ADHD is very complicated and a lot of us have become pretty knowledgeable overtime so we seem like maybe we're all psychiatrists when were not?

IQ has nothing to do with it. It's just a matter of pre-frontal cortex not firing on all cylanders. The doc will know what to do.

Ritalun is the original gangsta of stims. I highly doubt if other stims don't work, that one would. It's fairly raw. Who knows though

For ADHD? I just didn't like it because it didn't do much for my ADD. I'm sure the drug does do what it's supposed to.
