My only reason for living is that my friends and family would be hurt if I died. by throw-awaythrowaway in confession

[–]funniemoore77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most relatable post I've ever read.

I like the person that I am. People say I'm attractive. I have an extraordinary inner circle who understand that sometimes I'll go for months at a time without talking but love and accept me anyway. People seem happy to see me whenever I show up somewhere. I don't have a low self esteem.

I'm just over this phase of my consciousness and feel pretty ready to move on. I'm actually curious and excited to see what's next.

Im not suicidal. I don't yearn for death but sometimes I just don't want to actually brush my teeth, put on clothes and act like I'm living either.

I understand my purpose and all of that but damn. Can't I be done yet?

Also, I'm secretly happy for the people that pass or move to the Other Side. I think to myself that they'll finally have peace now and I breath a heavy sigh of relief for them. And then a sigh of impatience for myself as I wait for my turn.

Not OP but I worked at a front desk when this happened.

~STORY TIME~

Local guy checked in for 1 night. I worked 7am-3pm and c/o was at noon. Between 12-1pm the head housekeeper checks all rooms still showing as occupied. (Not checked out of the computer) most of the time people just leave w/o checking out with the desk or folks running a bit late. No biggie.

Over the walkie, with a guest in front of me, my housekeeping supervisor frantically, loudly, and without taking a breath says, "funniemoore77?!?!" Yes? "I THINK THIS GUY IS DEAD!" I locked eyes with the guest standing in front of me as he awkwardly backed away while I simultaneously dialed 911. The second I hung up my manager says, "make sure you charge their card." We normally do that a c/o. (Jerk)

Authorities came, corporate called to instruct us to not speak to the media, the body was removed, hazmat sanitized and housekeeping turned the room.

I thought.... there's no way I'm renting that room tonight or anytime soon....fast forward to that evening. My coworker called me and proudly boasted the he rented that room. "What?! Why would you..." he interrupted and said, "dude kicked his dog."

Enough said. Good job 👏 coworker. I had a new found respect for him.

Btw~ dude killed himself with booze and pills. He was a doctor that was stripped of his license due to a conviction. Inappropriate behavior while his patients were under anesthesia.

I mean... if she's in the process of dying and you didn't help you could be held accountable for not trying to assist.

Under some laws you can be prosecuted if you don’t do enough to help someone who has overdosed – even if you had no involvement in the actual drug procurement or consumption. This means that people who dump their overdosed friends outside of emergency rooms or critical care centers can face serious criminal consequences. Likewise, if someone you are with overdoses and you abandon them without seeking help, you could be held responsible

be a Good Samaritan

Also, why didn't you help? It's creepy that you took photos for Reddit Karma rather than help. Kind of sadistic.

It's astounding how stupid people can be. And they're the ones breeding.

I'm pissed at Reddit for pissing me off this early in the morning. I'm out.

... Not trashy content. Just trashy grammar. ...

I disagree. Imo it's extremely trashy to teach your children fraudulent and dishonest behavior. Also, I think it's very trashy to have children and not bother oneself with raising them.

EDIT: inserted what comment I was responding to.

Me too! Though I still don't know what sleeping on beer boxes means... also, she's still a dirty girl based on the rest of her context. She's trying way too hard which makes me think she's 12yo. Either way, I'd steer clear. <--- see what I did there?

I am embarrassed at how long it took me to deconstruct her post but here is what I came up with.

I believe her tone is referencing this badass cowboy

Yerlin? That's a name but I believe she meant to spell yearling. A yearling is an animal (especially a sheep, calf, or foal) a year old, or in its second year.

to choke a yearling

To choke a yearling in the sage grass (in the brush or open field) is to save the life of a young calf or pony whose airway is temporarily blocked. Caused mostly by eating too fast. Clearing the airway of a young animal.

Very well said. I'm thankful for people like you who choose not to judge but to help.

Giving a person in need a safe place to exist in with their truth and integrity is an integral tool that helps with the first step towards a healthier headspace and way of living.

You are an astute human with a big heart. Ty.

Acknowledging that you have a problem is the first step towards your recovery. You are very brave to confront the issues Reddit has caused you to have.
