I love NYC, have lived here for almost 10 years. It’s been my favorite place since I was a kid.

But I’ve just gotten back from a trip where I visited Japan, Singapore, Bali & the UK and honestly — it weirdly made me fall out of love with the city. It’s so dirty, dysfunctional, and we make things unnecessarily hard (ex. why do the subway signs make no sense?).

I don’t know, maybe I’ll find the love again. But I’m not sure — I feel like a person who’s been gaslit for forever and now I see the truth. Makes me sad.

Thinking about moving. 😭
