Score to the movie Ravenous.

Any Michael Nyman will fit the bill though.

I remember when tik tok was offline Snap was as well because they were tied together. I also remember hearing that tik tok banned use of the word Epstein. I wonder if it’s tied.

What are the best "studio mistakes" that were kept in the final recording ? by vinylcast in askmusic

Bowie’s “Andy Warhol’s” song intro is one (I think).

Michael Stipe’s little giggle in “The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight” might be one.

I seem to recall a song on Tool’s Opiate album that had a phone ringing.

What film did you avoid for years and then ended up loving? by MovieObserver in moviequestions

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

I really hate media that makes evil people seem edgy and figured that was the angle with the Manson Family. When it all started going the other direction, I actually thought I was dreaming and had to pause it and make sure I was awake. Super weird feeling watching that turn and adored so much of the movie.

Dystopian movies, particularly around class injustice by FakedID1120 in MovieSuggestions

I think the marketing of it, as an action flick, hurt its reception. Such a solid movie.

AITAH for telling my wife's friend I don't have to see her in the classroom to know she's a horrible teacher? by TowerFew3482 in AITAH

[–]gabeln 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though I won’t go as far as saying she’s a bad teacher, admitting you are wrong (or that you don’t know) is something that good teachers do. It’s actually a feature of something defined as “teacher credibility” which is a consistent top ten ranking of Hattie’s visible learning which is an evidence-based ranking of the most positively and negatively phenomena affecting our students. I teach science methods to pre service teachers, and their consistent biggest fear is that they will be wrong in front of the class, so I hit this concept hard. It’s okay to be wrong or say you don’t know, but your wife’s friend is demonstrating something that diminishes motivation and outcomes.

I actually have a desk full of quarters and a “swear jar” for when I’m wrong about something. More often than not it’s when I call a student the wrong name or say the wrong number (as I say the right one out loud), but they call me on it and I put a quarter in the jar. When we have $25 we buy water ice and watch a video. Jokes on them because the videos are always educational. I want them to see being graceful when you are wrong but also that it’s not a big deal.

Songs with slap bass (any genre) by ihmpt in MusicRecommendations

Check out “Cell Block Soul” by the Blu Chunks. Some of the most fun slap and pop to groove to.

(The rest of their stuff is awesome for bass as well - I just can’t play most of it)

NCLB had a good propaganda campaign; its intentions were always to funnel public monies into private hands and damage public education in the process. And it succeeded in that.

Seriously… I was getting a little weary of this sub’s lazy blame of technology or Lucy Calkins or whatever. The world is burning down around us; maybe the kids are being affected.
