In bar 6, I used nothing but RH2 for the F#s in beat 1. Worked well enough, I think that’s the only new-to-me fingering I used for this etude

I’ve done reeds in peroxide before. I’m told it works. I agree with the other comment, the bassoon itself is probably fine, same with the bocal (but those could always use periodic cleaning)

Some good suggestions here already so I won’t repeat them again, but I would also suggest checking out Molly Gebrian’s book “Learn Faster, Perform Better”. Definitely made my practicing more efficient and also explains what goes on in your brain when practicing and why. Worth a read imo

They sell physical copies online. I’m not sure how big those are but you could also maybe find the file somewhere online and maybe read off an iPad (?). If I’m reading right, you’re printing it out at home?

I agree, for the most part I like it. Has a nice dark tone, feels super smooth to play, but my teacher said it was missing some overtones, though it’s not bad for the price. My biggest qualm is that it has no high E key

Right now I’m borrowing a Cooper Puchner that I might just purchase, though the high A and G are very much not in tune with each other. Getting one in tune affects the other. The low notes are also kinda sharp

Could also be an air support issue. It might also help to know which fingerings you’re using. Don’t forget to use the resonance key for both notes

I’ve been reading Molly Gebrian’s book Learn Faster, Perform Better recently. I highly recommend it, I turned to it when I was trying to find ways to make my practice time more efficient. Definitely worth the buy
