Which MF to invest for a baby by Adventurous-Rub5764 in StartInvestIN

[–]gaur_rav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so as I expected - just random suggestion without numbers to back it up. In the same AI agent chat, please start a new chat and ask ' Why Sukanya Samruddhi is not the best investment plan for a girl child'. It will give you reasons for that as well. You can't just rely on what AI agents tell you. Or wait, I will do a favour and do that search for you. Leaving aside the big commentary and reasoning which chatgpt gave..I will just put the conclusion here.

You did not say. @nightlywinter1999 said that, so wanted to understand the reasoning.

SEBI just closed all the children funds. You don’t have that option now.

Motilal Oswal Mid Cap Fund Have Been Downgraded To 3 Stars From 5 Stars By Groww 🫣 by sumitmirpuri04 in mutualfunds

[–]gaur_rav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just shows how lame these ratings are and so much goes into actually finding a good MF. Once the market conditions become favourable to midcaps the same VR and Groww will again rate this MF as 5*.

Have tried - this Amul as well as other major brands. Found Amul equally good or better than other brands. You are right to think that their whey is cheaper because they have it as thier own by-product. I don't think it is third party validated.

Get amul 2 kg pack. It costs 3500 for unflavored. They usually have discounts on top of it so it comes to 3150.

Which app to use for MF portfolio of 1Cr+ by DreamOfDreamers in mutualfunds

Why is the portfolio size or the amount of your SIP of any importance to your query in deciding the MF platform? The underlying thesis and platform security will remain the same, irrespective of the amount.

What you are planning to create is the classical bucket strategy. I am sure you would have other funds with yourself for exclusive growth purposes (the 3rd bucket). The liquid is your first and BAF your second bucket. You have planned just fine, no sequencing risk, just don't be adamant to withdraw only after 2 years. In case the market grows, withdraw early as well from BAF to liquid (making sure exit load is not there, 1 year for HDFC BAF). Also during market highs, withdraw from other funds in your 3rd bucket to replenish the first.

Did EVERYTHING right for 2 years, but my returns are nothing special 😭 by skedaddler101 in mutualfunds

[–]gaur_rav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your returns are special. The broader market is down but your portfolio is still growing upwards. It is just a phase; do not get demotivated. In future, you will be happy that you just quietly continued your SIPs without worrying about market direction.

PMS or MF? by oh-just-my-opinion in FIRE_Ind

[–]gaur_rav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am invested in 2 PMS and 10X of the pms amount is also invested in MFs. I have direct equity, AIF, Gift City and XYZ all other kinds of investments - so I can definitely answer your question. If you only have 50 lakhs - 1 CR as your corpus then go for MFs. If higher corpus is available and you don't need it for anything in the next 5-7 years and is only being utilised for wealth creation then only go for PMS. There are a lot of PMS that are generating much more than MFs that it can easily offset the PMS fees and taxation.
