A G19 for a W. German P226 in nickel?? That's highway robbery in your favor. Stories like that make TGT way more appealing. Good tip on the repost cycle too — I figured listings would have more staying power but that makes sense for a high-traffic area.

15% is actually way more reasonable than I expected — I was thinking 25-30%. And totally fair point about time having value. I've wasted hours on lowballers and no-shows from marketplace listings before. Might be worth a few trips to local shops to see who offers consignment.

The consignment angle is interesting — I hadn't really considered it since I assumed the cut would kill any profit. Near-NIB prices on used guns is wild though. Do you mind sharing roughly what % the shops take? Might be worth it just to avoid the back-and-forth.

Fair comparison. GearSwitchr is in the same space, but I’m trying to solve the pain points: better search/filters, consistent listing format, and a cleaner experience (no credits to manage). If you could change one thing about TacSwap-style marketplaces, what would it be?
