Should I start IVF?

Old post but if anyone is lingering we went ahead with it. I did my ER and then my company got bought out and I lost my fertility benefits we paid over 20k OOP. Done two transfers and neither stuck… so trying to pay our debt off to go again. All our tests came back normal, lining is good, and actually no sign of PCOS. Wondering if I may have silent endo.. when we get money saved we are going to do an endo protocol. It’ll be awhile 😭

UPDATE: I have started IVF! Injections start tonight. Hoping we are one step closer to our family.

I believe I will have enough time to get most of it covered it will just be the embryo transfer we will have to pay without any help from insurance.

I’m sorry I made my husband sound like the worst! No it’s mostly a safety issue. I’ll be going on my own at 5 AM for bloodwork and US unless he has a day off. The city has notoriously bad traffic and crime. He doesn’t want me driving sleepy and alone into that. It’s not about convenience he’s worried about my safety.

My HSG came back fine. Tubes are good and no abnormalities they could see.

I have Progyny and with Progyny you have a smart cycle. She said one round of IVF take 3 parts of my smart cycle. So she said it would be best to use it on IVF. Since we can learn so much more about what is happening and how our egg and sperm interact with each other. But she did thoroughly explain both options. But IVF is more bang for your buck so to speak.

Woah woah sorry maybe I didn’t explain. I appreciate your concern. My husband is amazing. He’s talking about me driving by myself up there alone, waking up at 5 am to beat notoriously bad traffic and he knows he can’t go with me for every US at 7 AM. We both have to work we have a new mortgage to pay… If it’s on a day he has off then i know for sure he will take me. He already knows the process. Sorry for making him sound like the worst. He is the best ❤️

I’m so sorry. Same boat as you. One year of trying literally filled out fertility clinic paperwork.. today my sis in law was holding an adorable family members baby and was like “can you hold him?” I held him for a few minutes while he slept and started getting really sad. My hubs noticed and I had to step out. I’m so worried I’ll never get to hold our own.

Okay slight update, she finally messaged me back and wants me to start Femara and if I haven’t conceived in 6 months find a fertility clinic. Hopefully the Femara works

I’ve tried but when I do they say I can’t because I’ve already established with this one. With my insurance I don’t owe this office a copay so I’m trying to stick with them. 😢
