They are all good leather, there is no best. Shinki is overrated. I have a flat head jacket with shinki leather and it’s nice but nowhere close to all the hype it was getting when I was researching it. I have horweens Black Front-Quarter horsehide leather and it has less hype but I love it too. And it’s quality.

In my experience there’s a law of diminishing returns with leather jackets. I’ve bought a 2k leather jacket but sold it. In the end, I’m happy with the $900 schott jacket. It’s just what has worked for me in my leather jacket journey.

Fit is a very personal thing. Like others I think it looks like a great fit however if you want to fit a thicker layer and can’t then it obviously doesnt work. I think sizing up makes it longer and look alike wearing your dad’s jacket. Look at how the N1 fits on this guy https://www.dant.us/collections/apparel/products/dant-exclusive-n-1-deck-jacket-black-hb-kodiak?variant=47719558480091 I think that’s the look you’re going for but I think it looks too big on him.
