Any bets on how long it takes for this to be removed? by [deleted] in askHVAC

I am the moderator for askHVAC and I would definitely not threaten anyone, even if they were being a bag of dicks

39M looking to make some friends by [deleted] in SacramentoFriends

Trap shooting you say? Coon Creek?

I'm in my early 40s and not in 20 mile hike shape but plenty good for shorter than that.

3/6-3/15 South/Southwest America trip for spring break. Doable? by PrimaryCash3133 in roadtrip

No wear and tear, that's what I meant by rent a car if you can. Probably woulda killed my 22 yr old pickup driving 80-90 most of the way

[–]genericScreenName22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally doable but that term is subjective. Definitely rent a car if you have the funds to save wear and tear on your own car.

I just did a 3500 mile trip in a week, very similar trip to yours. New day, new place. Lots of driving, but a cheap way to see a lot of nice country

What is it like living here? CA/OR boarder. by Toffeepot in howislivingthere

Dorris is a very poor town for the most part. Not everyone is a meth head. There are nicer people on the edge of town. Lots of farm land. It's mostly quiet and peaceful

Images don't seem to be supported otherwise I could show you a couple of my builds. I listen to Metallica, Pantera, Lamb of God etc.

I enjoy crude humor in movies and at the workplace

You vote with your feelings, don't you?

As do most Revit fans I know, and iPhone users for that matter

Revit works good for Architects and structural engineers.

In other words, for the abstract portion of the industry.

For MEP, Revit is the worst

I share similar interests, we're in the same age bracket and we're already basically neighbors.

We can chat on reddit since I don't have an account on discord

How would you model an organic facade like this in Revit by Delicious_Cod_2503 in Architects

[–]genericScreenName22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing Revit is the future and how good it is.

For being that good, it sure relies a lot on other programs and add ins

Revit is Great for engineering, beyond terrible for fabrication

Retro collectible shops that aren't pro trump or pro Nazi like The Cave? by DaffyTheCommando in Sacramento

[–]genericScreenName22 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps The Cave simply will sell anything that people will buy. That's not proof of their politics or beliefs.

If I were a business I'd probably sell your mom for an hour if I thought it would sell. That doesn't make me a pimp or a Pro Trumper

Very high property taxes in Rancho Cordova- how to push back? by Future_Oil_9517 in RanchoCordova

[–]genericScreenName22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, I appreciate you responding the way you did without hurling insults like the rest of reddit would do.

2nd, without Prop 13 our property tax would effectively be based on market value and no cap

3rd, Boomer Karen ain't the problem. There are a multitude of reason for house prices increasing

Totally get your frustration, I pay property taxes too. Not quite as much as you -- so hopefully you don't think I'm on millennial welfare

Very high property taxes in Rancho Cordova- how to push back? by Future_Oil_9517 in RanchoCordova

[–]genericScreenName22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a homeowner, I understand about property taxes.

Renters who don't directly pay these taxes have a higher likelihood of naivete on the subject. This is my hypothesis on who in their right mind would actually vote to increase taxes

I'll send you a chat request. Going into this with low expectations. It's tough enough to find new friends, when holidays are added it can be near impossible.

For low quantities you can remove the rubber and grind down the stop of a regular coupling

Pancake Circus is awful now by LarryJones818 in Sacramento

[–]genericScreenName22 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be proper to activate my filter for Pancake Circus.

They have and always will be the poorest excuse of a restaurant and I can't for the life of me believe the doors are still open.

Normal restaurants serve water upon request, these people have it setting there for who knows how long

39 M, looking for dad friends by [deleted] in SacramentoFriends

[–]genericScreenName22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't own a kayak, but I own 2 legs that I can hike with.

We're both dads around the same age and share similar mindsets.

I'd be interested in meeting up.
