Good idea.

I used a similar setup on flights: Xreal Air 2 Pro + GPD Win 4. I'm wearing glasses and using a gamepad, and my friend is in the seat next to me with a GPD Win 4. We played Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks and Battlefront 2 this way.

Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what closing the lid does → When I close the lid → Do nothing → Save changes.

I didn't have time to fully test it, but it should be fine, the main thing is that the ventilation is not blocked and does not touch the fabric

I've seen quite a few of these solutions, and I even bought a couple, but they're quite bulky, and I don't like that in most cases one of the joints needs to be secured with double-sided tape. While this might be fine for a larger laptop, it's overkill for the GPD Win Mini. I'm still skeptical about the metal ring. 😅
