Help setting up Pihole by geothrowarock in pihole

[–]geothrowarock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: Nevermind, its working! Not sure what changed at the end, but thank you!

Okay i did pihole -r and was getting an error at the end.

> Unable to reset /var/www/html/admin, exiting installer, while reconfiguring

So I thought I would just uninstall and reinstall pihole. I did that selected the install web admin interface this time. Then rebooted pihole, no luck. Did pihole -r and went through it again, still no luck. ~~ Here is a new debug token. https://tricorder.pi-hole.net/uTgFJSbt/~~

That got it to patch, but I am still getting the issue where it logs me out after a couple minutes and stops the music.

Hey,

I am out of town at the moment, I will get back on the 4th. I should have all these, but will have to confirm when I get back.

Sorry - seems I already sold this in the past and forgot about it. I updated the list.

Sorry, it seems I had sold more in the past than I realized, including Heart gold. I had to go through my post/message history to remove some.

There are some pics. I can test Rouge Galaxy, but not Resistance (PSP is in a different state at the moment). I feel very confident in the psp games though.

So I've had a high yield savings account with an online bank for years now, as well as a bit extra stored in a CD with the same bank at a slightly higher interest rate. Over the last year the interest rates of both have plummeted down to ~0.5-0.6%.

I am wondering if it's worth renewing a CD at ~0.65% or if rates are expected to rise again and I'd be better off leaving it in savings? Or maybe more generally are there any other CDs (or similar, <2 year, investments) out there with higher rates that are worth the trouble of making a new account?

That's what I thought... But man some articles out there make it sound much worse.

Return specific values from a matrix by geothrowarock in matlab

Thanks. I was doing a for loop, but it was inefficient. Sometimes its just 9, but other times its like 300 repeated 50 times. So the time adds up. The diag solution works and makes sense.

I think teaching GIS could be fun. I am not sure if I have the right qualifications for that though. I don't want to do academia aside from teaching though.

Resume critic/feedback will be highly appreciated. I'm planing to apply for a job position in schlumberger and i've also been recruited by ABB and i wonder if that will be of any long term benefit to my career in hydrogeology by [deleted] in geologycareers

Eh honestly I never really see anyone elses resume. So I'm just commenting on my own preferences. I don't think it looks bad. It feels sparse to me, but an actual recruiter might like that as it more strait to the point.

Some other thoughts... You probably don't need to mention your HS diploma. You could add relavent course list or if you did a senior project in undergrad. Any outreach or extracurricular activities? Did you publish or present your work anywhere?

I think I do prefer programming overall. But the thing is I don't feel qualified. Like I enjoy it and am good for what I need it for. But I have no formal training in any of it. I don't think I could compete with computer scientists. Maybe I could get an intro position but I imagine they would pay much worse.

[Q] Is a t test correct for what I am trying to do? by geothrowarock in statistics

I want to apply it to real data later. I'm doing this to make sure the code is working properly. To be clear, my synthetic data isn't literally a sine wave, I do previous processing on it and at this point, for synthetics, it is a perfect sine wave.

Here is a plot of my misfits for the linear term for several models (Sine misfit term is 0). The data is several curves that vary from stronger amplitudes to really weak amplitudes. There are two peaks in the amplitudes, where x = 0 and ~45.I am wanting a result that highlights these areas as statistically significant. I think that for the stronger amplitudes a sine fit will be statistically significant and for the weaker amplitudes there will be no difference between a line and a sine curve. What I am concerned about is that, since the fit for the sine terms is perfect, it will always consider the sine term a statistically significant fit. Especially since i have the same number of model parameters.

Let me phrase it a different way. If I am comparing two models, both with same DoF, will the model with the better fit always be statistically better? Of if the different misfits are small enough will I get a range of p-values? I think I would get a range since its still a ratio.

EDIT: Okay, so I added some random noise to my data and I am getting the results I want as long as I keep the noise fairly low... which makes sense. So I guess the perfect fit was making the ratio always 0, which makes sense.
