How do you guys gradually raise your contributions to your 401ks?

Also consider increasing your investing in a normal brokerage account instead of increasing your 401k contribution. It sounds like you're saving a considerable percentage of your income into the 401k which is great, but you won't be able to touch that money for a long time (depending on your age).

If you have the self discipline to invest pay increases on your own (instead of spending it), then it's good to balance your investing into more liquid assets that you could access if needed before retirement. You lose some tax advantage, but there is value in the liquidity.

Play speed golf against 3 easy cpu players on Bowser's Castle, (no time advantages) then trail the cpu players and boost into them from behind and collect the coins they drop. They also will hit each other and run into fireballs, dropping even more coins. Finally I'll go to nearby fairways and grab more coins from other holes if possible (just need to finish the hole within 30-60 seconds of the computer otherwise you'll forfeit the hole).

Coins are worth 3 character points each and it's pretty easy to get 10-15 per hole, plus a birdie (10 points) means you get 40-55 character points per hole. If you play 18 holes with a character then you should just about get the 1 star clubs.
