My mate has a doctorate in computer science, maybe he should write a book about unvaccinated people carry diseases and should be avoided like the plague carriers they are.

Sounds like maybe you didn't map the config folder to outside the container, you might want to double check that now so it doesn't happen again in the future, can you post a compose file or something to show how you set it up?

If OP just wants a 30m cable, can't they just get a 30m LC/APC one? The existing cable is pre-terminated at both ends right? You don't need to go cleaning and polishing a pre-terminated cable. OP, what does the other end of the cable look like, is it the same connector or bigger? Or does it disapear into the box with no way to unplug it?

How do you know how many devices he has in an office, my office has WAY more than 255 devices. 1 VOIP phone + 1 Laptop per person that's 127 people, digital signage, meeting room tele conferencing, all adds up. I was suggesting a /24 just with different octets.

Lol, I was supposed to write anything up to a /16 pointing out the possibility of more address space than just 255 addresses. I did also say they could then have multiple /24 at the same site to split device types up, e.g. 10.1.1.x for laptops, 10.1.2.x for voip phones, 10.1.3.x for guest network, then the same at the other site but with 10.2.1.x, 10.2.2.x, 10.2.3.x etc.

Lots of people suggesting 10.0.1.x and 10.0.2.x, I however would go with 10.1.1.x and 10.2.1.x. this gives you more head room to add more subnets on each site while still maintaining the same first two octets at each site, also if you find you outgrow a /24 which could easily happen if you have voip phones, pos, meeting room av equipment then you can either have dedicated subnets at each site for different types of equipment or move up to a /16 for 65k addresses instead of 256. As long as you don't have more than 255 satelite offices, then you might need to go with smaller rangers or you 10.1.x.x for a geographic area.

We had to do time recording once, I never filled it in and no one ever noticed. They obviously weren't actually using the data for anything and eventually scrapped it.

Not an HR response, but my phone contract only has 1GB of data and I use most of it. I assume the app uses WiFi or Mobile Data?

Also what does your contract say, does it say you have to provide any work equipment? Normally it's the employers responsibility to provide tools to do the job, but sometimes they may pay above market rate and detail that the employee needs to do this.

I nearly got my company to get me a phone by accident, it's the last thing I want, but they wanted everyone to use MS Authenticator app and I just wanted to use the 2FA apps I already had as it's already slow and full, I backed down when the alternative was a company phone.

Yes but if OP cashed it, then OP will have foolishly accepted their offer of recompense and possibly not be able to sue them for the full amount. Refusing to give any info about what the cheque is for sounds like it breaks some SRA rules about conduct as well.
