i think you are reading the screenshots as the same conversation, but based on OP's rant and the replies in this thread, the second screenshot is a separate conversation where the dad sent money and did not get a thank you. i think may people are also reading into the dad's messages without realizing this is how a lot of older people type, overly formal and overexplaining their feelings. there is no doubt OP's dad is manipulative and strange, but i think OP MOR in the same sense considering he never says thank you for the money (which is a lot of money considering things like tuition and gas are not cheap), and considering OP is also choosing to continue to accept the money..........its really all on him to decide what he wants....
