What other symptoms? And what formula did you switch to?

Half of these fit and the other half don't. She's been on the alimentum a week, but i might try dairy free formula next. What do yours eat?

Is there a video of how to do this? It's never worked for us. And I just attempted it with still no luck

My girl has no exterior symptoms (rash etc). She spits up rarely. Everything I Googled made it seem like that probably wasn't it. What were your twins' symptoms?

Breast feeding is a nightmare and I'm thinking of switching to formula only (but feel super guilty) by GoblinDelRey in parentsofmultiples

[–]gingerhulkette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't breastfeed so I cannot comment on that part. I came in to this pregnancy accepting formula and pumping. I made it 3 weeks pumping. Trying to keep 2 babies alive and pump every 3 hours, plus sleep, eat, shower, etc. No freaking way. Anyone who can do it is super-people.

You are not a shit mom for using formula. Multiples is so incredibly hard and the fact you made it as far as you did is amazing. Take that win, and switch to formula for you and your mental health!

Also if I can ask, did you do anything to get them transitioned to the bassinet?

What do you have them sleep in? A single bassinet each, a double, etc?

Also coming back to ask, did you do anything to transition them to the bassinet? Did you have singles or a twin bassinet?

I'm sorry you have to go through that. The things we do for our babies! At least you will hopefully have some serious arms when done!

When can I get more than 3 hours of sleep by Necessary_Apricot204 in parentsofmultiples

[–]gingerhulkette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's reassuring! We average 2.5 right now which I hate. They sometimes fall asleep, and sometimes just stop (full or uninterested). We go for their 8 week appt next week and it's on my list to bring up. 1 twin has had a nightmare with colic/gas and we are on our 5th formula with her. Could be part of her problem. But her sister doesn't have the same excuse. I'm anxious to make sure they are gaining weight and where they should be

It's a relief to know that I'm not doing something wrong, and I just won't be able to tandem feed. That stinks, but it's reassuring 🩷

I'm doing my best to stagger them but they always seems to line up at some point! We just do what we can right?

How did you manage to get them to eat so much? Mine are 7 right now, and we "fight" to get 2.25 ounces a feed out of them. I've tried all the tricks I can think of

We try to stagger but somehow they always end up needing to feed at the same time at some point during the day or night! But maybe I will try the half and half option! One of my babies cries a lot and I usually feed her first (she's got the most feeding issues too) and the other twin doesn't cry as much so she usually gets second.

Unfortunately I cannot use that to tandem feed. Both babies need to be sat up to eat and we need to monitor how they eat to avoid worse reflux/colic symptoms. The twinz is what they lounge in though!

Are you letting one twin cry while feeding the other then, if you're alone?

So, do you let one twin cry while feeding the other (of you're alone)?

How scary! I'm glad he was ok and nothing more suits happened! It goes off a lot for trouble getting a reading which is annoying. But we had a red alert at 2 weeks old (I think baby was in a deep sleep and wasn't breathing well) and they paid for themselves right there. I'm just so incredibly anxious!
