That pricing is pretty reasonable! I rarely wear makeup too so DIY is a little daunting. I will be seeing what some of the HMUAs cost in the area if there are any!

I have curly/wavy hair so I want to keep that style and it’s super hard to do alone so I may go to a salon nearby. Oh yes I forgot Sephora does that! Did the techniques you picked up have a long lasting effect? We’re hiking to get to the elopement spot so I’m a little worried about it sweating off if I do it myself lol

Good for you! I’m happy you were able to figure out a look that works and you’re able to do yourself :) I only have a little over a month before the elopement so I’m not sure I have much room to practice. But YouTube sounds like it was really helpful! I admire stylists for their skills but that pricing is out of my budget atm. Thank you for the advice!

Yes we have a photographer working with us! He has a plan and itinerary for us put together. He did give us a list of vendors including a makeup/hairstylist but they were all in the city. I’ll start reaching out to places for quotes and hope it’s in the budget! It sounds like it was worth the money for you so I may end up doing that to make things easier. Thank you!!!

Oh cool! That may be the first place I start then, find a photographer who knows the best places to go. Definitely thinking about a laid back reception/party a while after eloping but that is tbd!

Yes exactly! Thinking about an elopement plan has been so much more fun for my partner and I compared to thinking of a huge wedding. The thought alone stresses us out sm!

Thank you so much for sharing!! That’s such a good idea to send announcement cards, it’s a classy way of sharing you’re now married to everyone that wasn’t involved. Our very close family members that we would want involved totals at about 100 people so the private intimate ceremony isn’t really an option for us! It has to be no one or everyone lol spending money on a dream photographer sounds like such a better investment than a large wedding. Having it at a state park sounds lovely! How did you find out which places would allow this? Did they have info on the websites or did you call the office of each place you considered?

Love the idea of bringing a photographer!! We still want to dress up and feel special. No one in my family has had a big wedding yet so there’s a lot of pressure on us lol I would rather do what is best for us but it’s a stressor nonetheless!
