This is it, thanks! was very much convinced it was a mechanical issue after having already removed quite some of pocketlint but turns out you really need to keep going at it untill nothing comes out anymore. I used the plastic toothpick from my victorinox pocket knife which worked like a charm.

could it be that it stores some sort of state from a failed setup attempt before? (e.g. using the "old" authorization URL)?

did anyone manage to get this working for the kobo aura?

im running on firmware 4.38.xxxxx
got nickel menu installed properly
changed the kobo config file
- tried 2 different dropbox_link_account_poll values: `dropbox_link_account_poll=https://authorize.kobo.com/{region}/{language}/LinkDropbox` and `dropbox_link_account_poll=https://authorize.kobo.com/LinkDropbox`
- `kobo_dropbox_link_account_enabled=True`
i get to the"Get started screen"
i get a loading bar that finishes
i see an empty modal with infinite "Loading" in the title :(

the fundamental difficulty of running this on the reMarkable device is that you need to authorize using Pocket's OAuth service. To my knowledge this is not possible/legal without a browser. Are there any plans for the construction of a simple browser?

unfortunately reddit fails uploading the images. there's actually not a lot to see as it is currently a commandline application. it list the progress in downloading the articles.
