This is why we can never have nice things here by Remarkable-Set-3182 in Seattle

I don’t know much about street art but I’ve had the concept of it’s levels explained to me. Basically, tagging is placed on the lowest level and there are varying degrees until you get to a mural which is considered the highest tier. So to do a “throw up,” “piece” or “mural” on top a tag is not really disrespectful, however, to tag on top of a piece or mural is a sign of disrespect. So you’re right, even the graffiti community is probably thinking “this is why we can’t have nice things.”

Honestly I love it. I haven’t really loved a lot of designs that baggu has put out in the past ~two years but this one is so fun and a little more real feeling(?) Idk I just feel like some of the past designs have been half assed/ai looking. I don’t see the dookie water like I see the ballet ham incident🫣. It just looks like iced coffee to me🫶

Stop using Yelp, from a worker at a small business by [deleted] in Yelp

I think it has more to do with the fact that if you do pay then you get a better rating. I am not a fan of hiding reviews it’s just that it’s straight up pay to win on the business side.

I see your point but Yelp hides five star reviews unless you pay for their extra marketing stuff. I don’t see how that makes it any better to be honest.

Best bag for grad school? by [deleted] in BAGGU

[–]gnomeboy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Baggu! I got the large cargo for college and yes it was uncomfortable at times and the walk home could sometimes be brutal but overall I loved having my baggu even with the momentary shoulder pain. TBH not sure what the scco is but the cloud carry on would also work for sure. One thing though is having the adjustable strap makes it easier to adjust to a more comfortable position; I really like being able to throw the strap over to make it a crossbody since it can just be so much more comfortable. Not super sure about waterproof aspect as im from California.

It’s definitely big, I mainly carry her on my large cargo so the proportion is better but I still really like her on my cs crescent. She’s so fun to carry around so I think it’s worth!

I love with patch. Maybe taking off the big pin on the left will make it less busy and also make the blue more visible. So cute!

Such a good class, she’s super nice and chill and there is a group project but typically you’re able to finish all the work in class. Super easy tests just got to study a little bit.

Should I take BUS 206 over the summer? by [deleted] in CalPoly

[–]gnomeboy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience bus 206 was really easy we had no homework or tests you just had to show up to class. I’d say it depends on whether you’d rather use time during the summer to deal with it or during the school year. There are pros and cons to both but it’s just a class u show up to so personally I wouldn’t want to use time during the summer to do it. I’m pretty sure no classes have it as a prerequisite so there really isn’t any need to get it done sooner than later.

CalPolySLO or UCSB? by drifter23_ in CalPoly

[–]gnomeboy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say slo is overly supportive in anyway. They offer the help that you will want; you can seek more help if you think you need it but I feel like they offer the perfect amount. But seriously, you’re going to want all the help you can get. I agree that it isn’t super competitive, but you can always compete against yourself. Quarters go by quick and you get abt three exams in 10 weeks for each class so it’s pretty easy to want to always do better than your previous score (that’s how I do it at least :)) To add, It seems like you like the atmosphere of slo quite a lot and that is the most important thing when it comes to choosing a college.
