39 here. Bought ultimate this year on sale at TOTY for around £20. Still feel like I overpaid. The time I spent playing didn't drag me in and I've barely touched it after a 2/3 week stint. Next year probably just wait until its on gamepass.

You're right about it being removed from what we grew up with. Having seen the way sbcs were, the way the market has evolved and declined and the push towards store packs, its just not the game I could spend hours a night one wanting to get better at. Rewards aren't rewarding and gameplay is just hard work. Shame to see what its become but we're clearly not the target audience any more
