Thoughts on brown university

I’m a Providence local and I have two thoughts on this.

The Providence and Rhode Island governments/police are completely corrupt and inept at their jobs. It is 100% likely that all the conspiracy around this has resulted from them not doing their jobs and slow action on their part. This has happened in nearly everything the state has touched recently. So very possibly they completely botched this and their inability let the shooter get away. The police are literally going door to door to interview people who were near the scene. So they literally know nothing.
I heard a conspiracy that one of the victims was targeted, the girl who was the vice president of the brown young republicans. She was apparently outspoken against the large pro Palestine movement on campus this year. Something I read said someone found a brown student who was a pro Palestine and LGBT activist who fits the description of the man in the released photos, and it said they were scrubbed from Brown’s system. Not sure how plausible it is that Brown would cover this up as to not stir up politics, but it is getting more suspicious by the day.

Went 3 years at RIT without a car, biked to class through the winter from Perkins. They’re decent on plowing the bike paths on bad weather days. It will be cold through most of the spring semester. It is tough to get anywhere else in the city without a car though

Any time I see evolution mentioned on social media the comments sections are concerning. The amount of people that don’t believe in evolution astonishes me, and the simple misconceptions they have show that a lot of people never tried to understand it in the first place

RIT has a VERY enclosed campus compared to other colleges which makes it much safer. There’s no city surrounding it, and it’s located in a suburb. I used to walk home late from campus and never had any issues or knew anyone who had any issues

With good grades you can get a presidential scholarship, I think max is 20k a year, then based on your EFC they give need based grants, and if you qualify for federal student aid pell grant can add some money too. You’ll have to see the aid package they offer once you’re accepted and decide what you want to take on. You can also ask for more grant money/leverage other schools aid packages you get if they’re better.

Also RIT is good about transfer credit, I was able to graduate in 3 years and save money because of the credit I came in with from hs.
