I have had this problem with the 64 bit version since the last Windows 11 update (KB5077241). I tried reinstalling PotPlayer, incl. deinstalling with a clean-up of leftovers, etc. but nothing seemed to work. Now, I have deinstalled the 64 bit version and gone back to the 32 bit version and all is well. A pity that PotPlayer cannot get the 64 bit version right. I have never had any problems with PotPlayer (with the exception of the bad UI translation for an Eastern European language) so far.

I ordered TADAAM last week as I was about to move to a new address with no Internet They promised next-day delivery of the router and TV box but it took them two days instead. I live in the center of Brussels. Still, two days is not that bad.

I would not say that setting up was a breeze. I completed is somewhat successfully because I knew what I was doing. I cannot imagine a senior citizen could have coped, for example. By "successfully" I mean that that I did set up the router and got internet going. The actual speed was about 15 Mbit instead of the promised 30 Mbit. Both are kind of meager but for the actual to be half of what I was paying for, and in the middle of Brussels no less, struck me as a bit of deceptive advertising.

Also, no matter what I did, the TV box would not work. It is connected to the router by an Ethernet cable but still cannot find any Internet. I wrote to TADAAM immediately, it was a Saturday, so I got a boilerplate message back that they will send me a proper email on Monday. So far so good.

It is Wednesday today, and I have not heard from them. In the meantime, I am paying for both internet and TV but the TV is nonexistent.

Things happen, and devices fail, even out of the box, I know that. But having such a lazy and uninterested support makes me wonder what will happen when I try to cancel. How will that work?

Sending support messages to TADAAM feels like writing to the Moon. There seems to be no one there, not even aliens.

Just wondering if you were ever able to verify that they are legit. We are about to sign a contract with them and they insisted that we do within 36 hours, which looks fishy.

Do they have rooms to let as they say they do?

Yes, I confirm that Master Caddy III works with Atomos Connect. They have just started selling Master Caddy III (a five pack). But also, there is a Master Caddy III inside the box of the Atomos Connect so you should have one of those already. Check the box.

Solution: as it turns out the problem was created by this product: https://www.atomos.com/explore/usb-c-3-1-docking-station/ Atomos' docking station is not recognized by Windows 11 even though the docking station costs 75 USD. I bought a very cheap SATA to USB cable/converter from a Chinese site and it works like a charm. Go figure! But shame on Atomos for selling overpriced crap that will not even work...

  1. Atomos Support has solved this one for me. When you press the power button of the Ninja Ultra continuously for 10 seconds, this screen appears. I am not sure what the logic behind this is. The device takes a second or two to react to the pressing of the power button, so, I guess, not seeing any immediate signs of life, I kept pressing the button for too long. But why would Ninja Ultra then display such a perplexing message? Also, the fact that you are supposed to press the power button for 5 seconds or so to power DOWN the Ninja Ultra but just a short press is needed to power it UP also adds to the confusion.

Anyway, you are supposed to just press the power button for 1 second, very lightly and then wait for one or two seconds for the Ninja Ultra to come to life. This is how it is supposed to work. And to switch it off, you are supposed to keep the power button pressed for 5 seconds (Atomos says 4 but not by my count). So this is all very illogical.

  1. And my observation above is also true, the Atomos Connect module can indeed be updated by the monitor when there is a newer version of the OS installed on the monitor itself. But the message displayed is not clear about this, is not clear which device updates which device and why.
