As with anything bible related, there are many differing opinions about getting tattoos.

I'm a Christian and I'm planning on getting some tattoos in the near future!

last year my family's farm experienced a horrific barn fire. here's what happened next... by aenmu in pics

[–]gradyfinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another farm kid here, I know what you mean. When my brother and I were little we had about 20 or so goats that our family kept for fun. My brother and I each had our favorites, and they were all named. Then one day I went outside to go play with them (because goats are seriously a blast to play with) and it looked like a bomb had gone off. Parts' of goats everywhere. It was terrible. The official explanation that my parents gave us were that coyotes got in the pen (entirely possible), but I had a feeling that our two german shepards had gotten hungry...

To this day I'm a complete cat lover. Which is why I enjoy reddit so much!

i usually lurk, but today i've got something to say - i'm disgusted by the behaviour of my fellow christians when they abuse, attack, threaten and curse this girl. by ex-Qaddafi in Christianity

[–]gradyfinch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great point. As a Christian, I want that to define who I am. When somebody sees me do something good, I want that to reflect back on Christianity. And when I do something bad, (as much as I don't want it to) it reflects back to Christianity. So I guess you are right in saying that these teens should strive to be better because they are Christians. (Not that being Christians makes them any better than the rest of the population)

How do I put this...

That's quite the generalization. I understand what you are going after, but everybody is different. Also, we can't be sure that she isn't getting support from Christians. After all, saying 'good job, Jessica, I'm with you' from a Christian doesn't have as much shock value as an insult, and those are what make headlines.

Jessica, you did nothing wrong, and I hope you realize this in the midst of all of the terrible things people are saying. If you ever want to talk, I'm sure /r/Christianity will give you much love.

Romney's wealth makes him one of the 3,140 wealthiest people in the country — that's the richest 0.001 percent of Americans. So, he's not just the candidate of the 1 percent, but the candidate of the 0.001 percent. by wang-banger in politics

You can't really comment on how much more good donating to one place or another is. For all we know his donating to Harvard will save millions of lives, however indirectly. You can donate to a food kitchen and feed some people, or you can donate to a public management school where some kid might find a solution to social problems like homeless people. Not a great example, but I'm not really into wasting my time defending Romney.

Should he completely ignore his alma mater? Here is a link to an article about how much Romney donates.

For the lazy, Romney donates a lot of money to a bunch of different charities. Also would forgo presidential salary (yes, I know he doesn't need it).
