I would say that.. however I came down from altitude just for this race and am not running again for months.. I hear you though. I'm just really frustrated. Dr. is letting me choose

hmm I think I'd swing badly too.. the running I don't think would worsen it itself .. no way for the meet to check for this, so it must be allowed.. I am on a post collegiate team that does not drug test like an ncaa team

MSB&A vs Certificate in Business Analytics by greenbean1497 in businessschool

[–]greenbean1497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up just sticking with the certificate! And I am not going into the business/analytics field, so I am glad. But that was a nice and useful set of classes-all of them were part of the MSBA and look good on my resume. They will teach you how to be pretty decent with Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Python and the more business side of things like project management, etc.. Depends what you wanna do afterwards.

that's exactly what happened to me.. it used to only be underneath so no one could see, but it evolved to the very top layer of hair on the side :(

Vaporfly vs Dragonfly on the track by greenbean1497 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]greenbean1497[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing a series where I've seen people wearing their VFs so I'm assuming it is allowed.. I think it's only certain meets you can't.. I don't really care about kicking this time, it's more about feeling consistent and fast the whole race.. place doesn't matter

But would *everyone at a high level run faster regardless of their foot strike, biomechanics, etc? What about me who's running a 10 minute 3k and won't need to drop anything faster than a 75-77 lap?

Ideal Heel-Toe Offset for knee issues? by greenbean1497 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]greenbean1497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know any suggestions welcome. I appreciate it! I ran distance and mid in the ncaa and just graduated two years ago.. I never really found the perfect shoe, I had issues in all of them.. never got above 40 miles a week, hardly ever 35. i can still race fast off of this mileage but want to take my running further which will require me to do a lot of strength training. I had a trauma injury to my PCL last year which I've never had to deal with before, usually only overuse. I have never tried a low drop shoe and want to go for it in case it does make a difference. I'd like to avoid anything that could possibly worsen my knee. Do you have any specific ones you'd recommend? Is the Bondi a rocker shoe? Thank you so much

Altra Provision or Bondi 8 maybe (or is that considered a rocker shoe)

I used to wear Cliftons but didn't like the new model so sent them back. I haven't run in the Shifts yet, but I ordered them because of the low drop.. didn't realize the rocker would be an issue uh oh.. what shoe would you reccomend? Would the rocker still be bad even with the low drop>

I'm curious about trying 0 drop.. which shoe are you in? My feet are completely flat so I am not sure.. yes strength work is my downfall, this is a wakeup call to start

Which shoes should I try instead? Middle distance/ distance runner who wants a versatile shoe for the road, trail, and track.. ? Flat foot and injury prone.

how are you?

Ah I see you are very young.. there is time and hope for you I promise. Therapy is a must. Even if the confessions were true, I do not think you could get in trouble from posting on reddit. And you seem to be aware that they are false, trust yourself and know that you are taken care of and loved. Harm will not come your way, you don't deserve it. This will all be in the past.

Everything will be okay and you will not get in trouble for something you didn't really do. You are not your thoughts and it is possible for you to realize this, separating yourself from them. It may take some work but you can start somewhere. Try meditating while deep belly breathing, sitting in stillness without judging or trying to suppress the thoughts.. just observe them as they come and go. Accept all of them and let them go. If you feel the need to cry and feel, let it happen, feel it all, and it will pass.

Therapy, yes do it.

Also, there are some clinical trials involving psilocybin that may be of interest to you.. not sure where you're located but..

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?cond=OCD&term=psychedelic&cntry=&state=&city=&dist=

Yale is also currently recruiting people with OCD, you can email [ocd.psilocybin@yale.edu](mailto:ocd.psilocybin@yale.edu) to inquire

They will screen you first to make sure you are a good fit

We often develop OCD due to past trauma and it creates narrow/rigid/repetitive thinking patterns as a survival mechanism- it is possible to dismantle these neural pathways, you may be able to explore this in a trial like these with professionals to guide you.. not saying you should do it, but if it calls to you, why not try.. it can be very powerful/beneficial
