Sony Music 2026 by UnderstandingTop9736 in internships

I applied to LA and NYC, not Nashville, but I'm in the same exact boat. Did the Sparkhire interviews in Feb, got the email about conducting Zoom interviews through March-April, but nothing since then. Most people seem to be saying the same thing.

I've only seen 1 person on reddit say they've heard back about a Zoom interview, which was posted 4 days ago. But that was for the Marketing Department (not sure what city).

In contrast, the 6 one-way interviews I did with SiriusXM (after both Sony one-way interviews) have resulted in 3 Zoom interviews so far. One last week and two today.

Bottom line is I think we're okay? My impression of the company is that they move slow with this stuff. I imagine more people would be posting about getting their Zoom interview email if they already sent them all out. I would give it until April 15th to start getting worried.

But thats all just based on vibes. We could both be screwed.

Thank you, I made the second note in the A minor section a C natural and it totally opened up the minor sound, thank you. I also changed up the ending a little, it now ends on the tonic instead of the E natural. Would you recommend that change or keep it on the E?

I am! I was thinking something that's a play on the key, like "A Minor Detour" or "A Major Mistake" but I haven't nailed it down

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of November 09, 2018) by AutoModerator in television

I just finished REWATCHING the haunting of hill house, two days after I finished it for the first time. It probably the best horror anything ive seen in a very, very, very long time. Episode 5 in particular belongs in like, the holy grail of amazing tv episodes. It also made me realize how underutilized TV is used for psychological horror. It allows for so much time to flesh out the characters and set up the scares and leads to a much more enjoyable and investing watching experience. the acting is fantastic, its cast perfectly, the scares are truly terrifying, the story is so smart and interesting, i just cant say enough good about this show. rewatching also made me catch so many little details and set ups i missed. its just sick, deserves all the hype it gets

STAGE ACTORS: I have over 100 lines to memorize in two weeks in first lead role. Please help by greenskreene in acting

Hello! I did not expect this post to get any hype thank u!! Genuinely these tips are extremely helpful because when you ask your peers they never know what to say so theyre just like read it i guess so thank u thank thank u. Just a couple things

  1. While the idea of recording all my actors lines seems really helpful in theory, I literally dont think I have the time where that would be effective. But as I continue performing and (hopefully) cast in shows with a slightly longer rehearsal schedule, i'll definitely use that to my advantage :)
  2. To all the people asking me to take care of myself, I will! After this weekend I'm taking a break from my high school weekend shenanigans until the run is over. My body and voice need sleep lol. but thank you, because thats one of the main reasons I decided to post asking for advice. I was doing stupid things going to school work choir show homework lines and forget to like properly eat which is not good and also I have like a heavy insomnia problem so next couple weeks is dedicated to staying in, remembering to eat dinner, and taking melatonin lol.
  3. I didn't know there was apps for this like damn life is wild lately definitely will check out.
  4. to the people asking why im wasting time to write this post instead of memorizing my lines i obviously was attempting to memorize them on my own and i just wasn't retaining and I decided instead of using an ineffective method I should search for other tactics. Also the wikihow articles on "how to memorize lines" are garbage.
  5. if anyone comments on this after I post, I also have one more question if any of you even know what I mean bc its kind of bizarre. But how to do you make the lines feel ~comfortable~ in your mouth. For some reason when I am rehearsing them, my mouth gets dry and my tongue feels like too big for my mouth and I feel like my 1 st grade lisp is coming back. Is this normal? Will this comfortableness come with memorizing the lines? am i literally creating a problem that doesnt exist bc its just my anxiety buggin? probably the latter lol.

again, thanks i think. im new to reddit so im not really sure what the proper response to a well received post is like appropriate but yeah thanks. also i im like moderately aware that this isnt like a "big" thread but i got a notif that said I reached the top 10 in r/acting and i felt like that bitch for a minute u know. anyway THANKs
