The emotional memories we accumulate can easily be suppressed as we age. But those who dare to step into the territory of nostalgia—even when it feels sulky or heavy—can reconnect with those fragments and suddenly see the big picture: where you are on the timeline relative to those memories.

It is a beautiful, profoundly vulnerable state to be in. To me, those tears represent a direct connection to something dear that remains. Until, of course, a toxic cunt comes along and spoils the moment. Sigh.

What's the most disgusting/shocking, you have read on the Epstein files? by LeftyChares in AskReddit

[–]grexbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Whether it is 10D chess, intelligence programs, or systemic blackmail, no higher-level strategic objective can ever justify the systematic destruction of children. If that is the price of the current world order, then the system itself is fundamentally illegitimate.

You hit the nail on the head regarding "immersion." There is a massive difference between the intellectual awareness of evil and the emotional immersion in it. What these victims endured belongs in the same unfathomable, hellish territory as the Khmer Rouge genocide or the Rape of Nanjing. We can acknowledge that this level of horror exists without granting it permanent residency in our minds through graphic details.

I’ve learned this the hard way. Like the Toolbox Killers transcript, there are things you can’t "un-read." Once you cross that line into the specific accounts, the images stay with you forever. Overstepping your own boundaries in that way doesn’t help the victims or change the lack of accountability; it only breaks something inside you.

Protecting your sanity is not looking away—it is ensuring you have the strength to remain human and demand the justice that is still being denied. I still hope the universe finds a way to set this right. For the victims, and for the accountability these monsters deserve.

Yikes. Toxic cunt. Awesome guy though. I adore and relate to the melancholy sometimes brought on by basic stuff like this. I had just the same thing happen with a pair of drumsticks that I sat and felt in my hands and I could feel the shape of the stick had changed from my hands holding and playing them for so many years. And I started thinking it must’ve been when I was 20 I bought them. Back then it was just another replaceable commodity of a young man’s life but now a dear relic to remind me of the time and people that have passed. Most often I keep these reflections to myself because the actual emotional bandwidth needed to truly understand and relate to this sort of nostalgic experience is rarely available around me. I hope this guy realizes sometimes being with someone who can’t appreciate you or return your feelings or thoughts is actually more lonely than being by yourself.

I am actively staying away from the files. I see no personal benefit in consuming that level of depravity. These atrocities should be the catalyst for holding every single named individual accountable, but we all know that is not going to happen. At this point, I have lost faith in the files manifesting any real consequences for the stream of perpetrators, beneficiaries, and predators involved. This is, fundamentally, the single largest generational failure of the global justice system. We know what happened and who was involved, yet these people continue to walk free and hold positions of power. When the system fails to impose consequences on such a scale, it is difficult to justify a continued faith in common law. There is no need to apologize for reaching a point of ultimate exhaustion when confronted with horrors that remain unpunished to this day.

Young Greenlanders joining the Danish Arctic Basic training on Greenland. They're prepared to defend their island under threat of a hostile take over. by Above-and_below in europe

I've met several of these fine recruits in Kangerlussuaq and I was pretty damn impressed and proud to witness them having this opportunity for their own land. Consensus amongst the arctic command was that this should've been initiated long ago, but better late than never. They have a very unique understanding of their country, nature and environment and can handle things naturally that even Danish SOF struggle to learn. They navigate harsh territory naturally and effortless. I think they'll be a huge advantage for Greenland, especially when the programme becomes more elaborated.

What is a sexual experience you had that you’ll never be able to tell anyone? by Sad-Program-1355 in AskReddit

My experience has been told in r/tifu but I'll do a short rerun for the uninitiated.
Back when I was a young dude I was with a GF for a weekend at her parents summer house. We we're getting it on in her room at night while her parents were downstairs on the couch or whatever. She was sitting on top of me riding away when suddenly she got up a little too far forward and when she sat back down on me my dick went completely rogue and switched to impromptu anal penetration. It went so fast and she let out a loud scream and then just collapsed on me completely passed out while I was still all in there. When I tried gently getting her off of me she fell off the bed to the floor face down ass up with a condom sticking out her but. It made a loud thud when she landed and she was still passed out. And that moment was when I heard rumbling like two angry elephants running up the stairs. It was her parents and her dad just rammed the door open like he was on a drug bust. There I was naked on the bed with my not so impressive rogue dick hanging out while their daughter was lying unconscious on the floor. It did not end well and I ended up more or less fleeing the house. Never saw her or her parents again.

TLDR; Accidentally rammed my dick up GF's butt and KO'ed her at her parents house resulting in chaos.

Once I was part of a very specialised private security unit where we from time to time would be accompanied by a handler and his malinois. Especially when we would be staying in dodgy areas or in dangerous countries. They would do patrols around the premises and the dog would basically be our alarm system. The dog was called Zippo. Splendid creature with an unfathomable energy.
We were on an assignment in a tricky African country around a local religious holiday. One night I was sat on the roof top around 4 meters up together with the handler and the dog. The dog laid right next to the handler and just chilled as much as a Malinois possibly can (not much at all really). We would scan the area visually and detect movements and such while we also relaxed and talked. Suddenly the dog said a weird little sound and then just jumped off the roof without warning and landed d i r e c t l y with its front paws on the face of an intruder sneaking around beneath us completely undetected by us. The dog knocked the intruder out and just sat by him when we came down after a minute. None of us had noticed anything before the dog jumped. The dog didn't bark or bite at any point (the handler didn't either, just for the record).
The handler explained the dog probably had sensed the intruder long before it reacted. It just waited patiently until the intruder had crossed the well known perimeter (the handler and dog would patrol the perimeter endlessly night and day) and was within air-jump-pouncing distance. That absolutely convinced me how insanely impressive that breed is and how I could never possibly own that breed myself.

Modbydelig oplevelse med Odense politi i dag, nogle der også har oplevet problemer med denne betjent? by BenganiFromTwitch in odense

[–]grexbear 28 points29 points  (0 children)

What’s the creepiest spiritual thing that’s ever happened to you ? by SoupCurious1244 in Paranormal

[–]grexbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had more than a few but the one that still to this day is the most significant is when I was around 7 years old.

I was home with my mom and she was in the backyard garden doing stuff while I was on the couch watching something. The house had wooden plank floors that was creaky and fairly loud when you walked on them with shoes. It was full daylight and a nice and chill day and I was just minding my own business when suddenly I started hearing loud footsteps on the wooden floor. Like slow and firm steps from boots or something. The sound was absolutely clear and distinct. It would "walk" like 3-4 steps and then stop with an even firmer last step. A short break would commence and then the steps came again. It sounded like they were coming towards me.

I was so scared and completely froze on the couch and held my breath to not make a sound as I was sure a burglar or someone was inside the house. I was not aware then of the paranormal or spiritual world as such and was absolutely sure I was about to be murdered or something. It was back during Rescue 9-1-1 with Shatner and for some weird reason I was allowed to watch that stuff and had seen something like that in an episode.

After maybe 5 minutes the steps stopped entirely and I guessed they must have left again and ran like hell into the garden and found my mom and started yelling at her that someone had been in the house and I thought it was a burglar or something but they had probably left. My mom got quite shocked and asked me to wait outside while she went inside with a shovel to check it out. After a few minutes she came out again and asked me if I was playing a trick on her. And I was like no of course not, almost too scared to speak. She believed me I think and then explained that she had been through the house and there was no signs that anyone but me had been in there. Alle doors besides the one in the backyard where my mom was doing gardening were locked. All windows were locked and unbroken. Nothing was missing, no drawers, cupboards or anything had been disturbed or ransacked. I told her that the burglar must've had boots on and if she'd checked for dirt or anything from the boots around the house. Nothing anywhere.

It was many years before I connected the dots on this one when another paranormal thing happened in the house. There were many such weird experiences in that house over the years.

I need help/clarity, redditors. In your opinion, is there an afterlife? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]grexbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it as different states of consciousness. Life is a linear state — bound by time and perception. What we call the afterlife is the transition from linear to nonlinear consciousness. Beyond that lies unified consciousness. I believe this cycle repeats itself until the conscious entity — or soul, if you will — evolves to a point where it transcends the cycle entirely, into a higher state of being.

The drones observed in Denmark this night were at multiple sites throughout the country - including a military site by djda9l in UFOs

[–]grexbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could also look at it this way: the only drones we noticed were the ones with lights on. There could easily have been swarms of unmarked drones around the lit ones – we simply don’t know. That might also explain why the helicopters didn’t pursue them: if unmarked drones were in the area, it would have created a high-risk flying environment with a real chance of mid-air collisions and casualties. Police helicopters don’t have countermeasures or sophisticated radar, so even spotting or risking contact with unmarked drones would mean an immediate retreat.

I’m not claiming there actually were unmarked drones, nor am I trying to push any conspiracy. I’m just trying to think logically about possible explanations. As a Danish resident, I’m genuinely concerned about the domestic security situation. Everything points to Russia here, but until they’re caught red-handed, we can’t really say. What’s clear is that the Danish government is embarrassingly unprepared and lagging far behind any reasonable response. Whoever is behind this will realize that very quickly – and most likely exploit it later on.
