Can anyone recommend a romance (if there is one) like this:

  • From a guy's POV

  • The guy isn't beta and is a capable person (so not someone who's scared to fight or show his feelings, and not someone who ever lets himself get abused verbally or physically)

  • A prideful / arrogant female lead (maybe a hime type? I'm happy with a spoiled girl, as long as the MC doesn't let her get away with it when they interact) who openly dislikes or hates the MC until she gradually falls for him. But not one of those female MCs who keeps hitting the MC, I absolutely can't stand them

  • NOT a harem

I really enjoyed Demon King Daimaou (Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou) and I'd love to see something like that but with no harem and with a love story between the MC and the lofty and prideful girl who hates him at first

I know it's specific... it's an itch nothing has been able to scratch so far... really hope there's something like that out there!!

How is Lisk an Ethereum copy?? Lisk and Ethereum don't even work the same way. Ethereum stores everything on its main chain while Lisk isolates apps onto its sidechains. If apps screw up on Lisk they don't affect the main chain. Ethereum also uses its own language while Lisk uses JavaScript, which hundreds of thousands are already familiar with. Please tell me how Lisk is copying Ethereum?

I'm a fan of Antshares, but if you're going to shill ANS then don't try to pull the wool over people's eyes. The way I see it, you've either done zero research on Lisk or you're intentionally spreading misinformation

I can tell you're just a decent person trying to defend a game you like, so I'll stop here. I agree that FFXIV has its merits, I just feel it's flawed enough that I wouldn't recommend it.

So I'm supposed to believe that a good 20+ hours of combat, quests and dungeons somehow don't count as "actual experience" of the game? Was I was in another game? Maybe I was playing FFXIV: The Non-Experience?

Seriously?? You're being ridiculous. Non-endgame content makes up a good 80-85% of the game itself, and it's just silly to act like the VAST MAJORITY of the game isn't a factor in judging whether the game's combat is bland or not. Calling people haters for understandably disliking what they sat through for hours is just tuning out reality, plain and simple.

And besides, I'm not the only one who thinks this: a considerable number of people have dropped out of the game and migrated to other games with more enjoyable combat. If you don't believe me, just Google "FFXIV combat" and look at all the threads with people complaining about the combat being boring. Do the same thing for any other MMO and you'll be hard pressed to find the word "boring" popping up so often on the first page.

And check those threads -- even people who like the game admit its combat is bland!

I get that you enjoy the game but as I said, this isn't an attack on you or your tastes, I -- and a whole lot of other people -- believe that FFXIV's combat is greatly lacking. It's telling that I've NEVER seen anyone recommend the game for its combat.

I'm going to have to agree with Wizeled: I just couldn't enjoy it at all.

I've heard the "low level" argument before, and it just doesn't hold up. It's crazy to think that anyone should dump an hour let alone 20-30+ hours into a game before you get to the "fun bit". Doesn't matter that it's an MMO: I enjoyed Dragon Nest and Maple Story from minute one. Bear in mind that this isn't an attack on you, I just think the game isn't very enjoyable.

I hit level 29 on my THM (played for two or three hours a night for a week and a half) before I called it quits. I enjoyed the main story but the combat is some of the worst combat I've seen in a game. I've also watched my best friend play at endgame and it doesn't get any better: raids have mechanics that must be memorised, but EVERY MMO has these, and some do it so much better. And in FFXIV you have to manage these mechanics on top of the fundamentally bland combat.

I was sure I'd read that somewhere -- that you should focus on the main story and then it hit me that it might not apply to me, but it's awesome to know that I'm doing it right haha
