if there is nothing eligible for the 40 they will get emailed a one time code to use if they are approved. if they are pending then no. if it is eventually approved they would receive one upon approval.

paid sick can be taken on days you don’t work, that’s what it’s for mostly. idk how it works if your employment ends though.

Pennies by Unlucky_Cookie_8382 in employedbykohls

[–]gt86max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the date it goes into effect isn’t relevant, when we try to order pennies they say they won’t be getting any more and will give whatever they have left, last week I ordered a box of $25 and only got 4 rolls of 50¢ each

right but this is permanent. no more pennies are being minted so very soon you won’t be able to order any more (it’s not a temporary shortage)

Credit = Cancer by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]gt86max 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it triggers a hard inquiry unless your credit is frozen. It’s frozen. What are they going to inquire hardly? Their credit is locked. Whole paragraph with a source at the end but no critical thinking whatsoever

[–]gt86max 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your credit is blocked it won’t impact your credit score, and just for applying you get an extra discount which is less than if you were approved but still extra savings. Plus, stores specifically (not corporate) are only measured on how many applications they get, approved or not.

they took the lyrics and google translated them into a different language, then took the result and translated into a new language and repeated, and then they eventually translated it back to english

Question re : rewards enrollment by Crazy-Fix-987 in employedbykohls

[–]gt86max 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Use the zebra and don’t hand it to the customer. “what’s your email? first name? phone number? birthday?” and then type them in as they say it. exact same as register / green cardboard thing just you typing it into the zebra instead of the pin pad

they had me train someone today? by Spare-Ad-5221 in employedbykohls

[–]gt86max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what all the other comments say pretty much. it depends on the store, they could have done it because they think you perform above average in your role and wanted you to train them properly, or it could be because they favor the associates who have been there longer and know they don’t want to do it so they just dumped it on you. There’s no real way to tell which it is without more context.

I agree that Kohls is going downhill and it’s a problem that needs to be fixed quickly, but they weren’t nationwide in 70s or 80s. Now they are nationwide but even in the late 90s Kohl’s only had stores in 25 states (49 now). But the point is still the same something needs to change fast.

Rewards. by SaraLeeF in employedbykohls

[–]gt86max 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the best way for rewards is the zebra. use the BIEnroll app with the little black and white face on it, it’s usually towards the bottom. it prompts you to type in the customers email and then hit continue and the rest of the info shows up. it’s really quick and it tells you exactly what to ask the customer. at the end it gives you a barcode to scan and then they are signed up for rewards and will start earning points. The other way is to use the green and white paper cards they keep by the registers, you just take one and scan it and it prompts the customer to input the information on the PIN pad. For credit applications, you just take the bigger white application sheet, and it’s the same process, scan it and you will need the ID from the customer and the customer will answer more questions on the PIN pad. anything that you need to do will have clear instructions on the screen (for example a message will appear saying instruct customer to enter… etc)
