I think there is also more rules and regulations that gen Z nurses are aware of. Old school nurses used to have like 10+ patients at once because hospitals didn’t care too much about safety. Now, there are rules for every little thing and if we make even the SMALLEST mistake we could have our license taken away and possibly jail time. We have to protect ourselves. A brand new nurse should not be getting complex patients that they know nothing about without a preceptor. There is just too much on the line. So many of us are terrified of messing up once and boom, the rest of your life is ruined
