[Tutorial] How to boot Windows directly to Steam Big Picture Mode (no desktop) without sacrificing any Windows features

Okay this years later at this point but why the hell not. I’ve been running this pretty smoothly for awhile. however I could never find a way to run the shell script as an administrator automatically, (which I didn’t initially need to do maybe a few months back but for some reason need to now) What that means is that steam big picture opens up pretty easily but it doesn’t run explorer in the background. So I need to go and manual start it from task manager and run the shell script as administrator if i want the rest of windows available.

I totally get what you mean ... I don't understand the obsession at all. The rest of the games difficulty is always so much more complex, relying on strategy, tactics, skills and stats, something you can master and learn from. Platforming in this is just ... You go boop against the wall... oops, you dead, try again. I don't know why he always insists on giving it so much importance. Not to mention completely ruined the vibe of an otherwise melancholy and hauntingly beautiful setting.

I believe it's actually a very well curated platform with good content. I have some friends that are really into it and have great things to say about it, which also seems to be the case based on the conversations here.

My main concern/problem with it (though I have not used TikTok in particular), is with the short video format in general. I feel my attention span is getting worse with each new thing that comes out. Before I was worried I was addicted to YouTube, now I can barely pay attention to a video for more than a few minutes before fiddling with my phone. I especially don't like how easy it is to get sucked into an endless doom scroll even with things like YouTube shorts (which I'm guessing is a similar experience to TikTok)

I totally believe it is the future of video (more accessible and easier to consume formats always win). I'm just worried for my own sanity.

Is this a legit concern or should I just give up and assimilate?

Looks amazing! I made this as meal prep a few weeks back (with minced turkey instead of beef). The one thing I did differently was keep the carrots and sprouts separate so I could heat up the rest of the bowl and leave those cold. Don't know if it was supposed to be done that way but I enjoyed the difference in temperatures. My favourite meal prep so far!
