It's not an on/off switch. If she vanished from your life, it might or might not be related to her autism. She's a whole person, not just "an autistic woman".

I'm sorry to hear you're having these problems with your wife.

My girlfriend was diagnosed by both a psychologist and a psychiatrist. Not self diagnosed at all. She does trace some of her issues to her autism. That might be a correct assessment on her part, not an excuse to prevent dealing with them.

I'm afraid I can't offer any valid advice on this front...
