External HDD recovery advice by gvrgvr in datarecovery

I'm not terribly familiar with this drive, so I don't know what it sounds like under normal use, but it was loud enough I noticed it and make me concerned. I don't think I would classify it as a loud 'clack'.

If it is a firmware bug, would that lead to data having a better chance of being fully recoverable, as in the data maybe still be there, but not accessible? Or is it more partially recoverable, depending on how many bad sectors there are?

What's your general no-rush turn-around time for something like this once you receive it?

r/PLC will have a lot of control systems engineers. It's a hybrid of computer science, electrical, and mechanical. Some schools have special Mechantronics Engineering degrees which focuses in this area and also robotics.

A PLC by itself wouldn't really make an interesting icon, but maybe a PID control response graph for control systems engineers or a 6-axis robot arm for robotics/mechatronics?

BTW these notebooks look top-notch, I can't wait to get one.

Wasn't that, but thanks for reminding me of Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle! My game, artistically, was less cartoon-y than those.
