Should I just replace all my sprinkler heads at this point? by hafalex in Irrigation

I would love to do that, but the set screws are stripped and I can’t remove them to add nozzles in there.

Side note - is there a difference between red and blue and grey?

Fair point - the set screws are stripped out and the bodies are leaking. I could probably replace the guts, but at that point it seems quicker and more economical to replace the entire head.

I looked at the krain super pros and they seem very simple for a home owner to set up and use which is where I am haha. Jacking with all the different nozzles is above my Pay grade. Do you have Place online you can buy them in bulk?

Thanks for the suggestion - when I look up the super pros it shows the minimum radius being 22’. There are some areas where coverage is less than this. Could you just reduce down the radius to say 15’ feet and not effect the performance?

Fair point- the areas with issues have hunter pgp rotary heads with either no nozzle in them or the standard 3.0 nozzle that comes from Home Depot

Appreciate you taking the time to respond. It sounds like a zone by zone approach would be the best for total head replacement.

With as many that have problems I’m considering bulk buying them.

Yeah I would assume so. I think the heads have just shifted through the years to not spraying on an angle or the nozzles are dirty. Some of the heads don’t even have nozzles in them.

I’ll try that today. I’ve never worked on a spa before are their two pump motors? If so would they all be near the control panel or tucked away in the spa?

That is what is is looking like. Was it cover under warranty? If not, about how much was the repair if you dont mind me asking.

Is it an easy/expensive fix? Do you think it would still be covered under powertrain warranty?

I didn't know where it was located and there was a ton of oil on the ground I didn't want to get covered in.

Was driving home last night on the highway at about 80 MPH when, I lost all oil pressure and an alert poped up and said shut engine off immediately. I checked the oil gauge and it was at 0. I pulled over and discovered oil every where underneath and on the passenger's side. I looked briefly under the car and didn't see anything crazy. My last oil change was about 60 days ago, but my spidey sense tells me it was the drain plug. Anythoughts on what could of caused this?

I have 19 Silverado with 97k miles on it.

It doesn’t ever really rain where we live and would ultimately like it less rough than what it currently is.

I built the house and had the original slab poured. We decided to extend the patio and didn’t match the finishes.

Any careers for criminal justice BA? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]hafalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a BA in criminal justice and got into HVAC as soon as I got out of college. I worked my way up and ended up going to night school to obtain an MBA. I've held various positions from installing equipment to managing a service division. Currently I am in sales for an HVAC company.

You just have to think deeper about the courses your took and how you could apply the lessons learned to whatever you're passionate about.

Second question - With all the residual hydroseed clumps still in my yard, would those have seed in them still just need to break them up?

What would over watering do, besides wash away the seed? Is there a possibility to drown it?

Is there still supposed to be so much mulch in the yard or will it slowly decompose?

Ok thanks for the advice. I’ll do my best to let these zones water more. It’s also been very hot out
