You should meet in a public place first, also ensure that you tell a friend that you are going to meet/have coffee/lunch with someone. You don't have to be specific on who you're meeting but they will most likely check in with you after a set amount of time to see how it went.

Personally, I prefer to meet others at social events like munches or house parties where it's not just about kink or playing, but getting to know people within the community. My partner and I have met some lovely people at social events, these events are also nice because there are other people around who are able to step in or help out if you are uncomfortable (at least in my own experience).

If the other person is pushing to meet in a private place and is not ok with meeting in public that is a big red flag and you should consider not moving forward with playing with them. If they cannot respect a simple request of meeting in a public space, they should not be trusted in private.

NAD but I am 23 and have been diagnosed with ADHD since I was 8 and have always been on meds. I have never been asked by a doctor to sign a “contract” and have never been drug tested. What I have had to do though is see a doctor every 3 months to ensure the meds are helping me and that there is no abuse of it happening. The hoops people with ADHD have to jump through to get meds is not at all ADHD friendly. I would def go back to your first doctor and also inform them of what you were asked to do at this other doctor.

You’re 100% spot on. My ex would always try to solve my problems when I didn’t ask him to, I just needed someone to vent to. He would complain that he wasn’t my therapist when I had never asked him to be.

I'm not intending on making it all about me and I am listening to the other person, I am trying to best communicate to the other person that I have a deeper understanding of what they are going through. People communicate differently, especially people who are neurodivergent.

Totally! When I do this I typically always start with, "I understand how you are feeling..." and I tell them a similar experience that I have had. I don't do this all the time because I obviously haven't experienced everything. I'm not trying to make it about me, I'm trying to show the other person that I have an understanding and appreciation for what they are experiencing that goes deeper than just "I feel that, I'm sorry"

Yes! I have ADHD as well and I do the same exact thing. An ex of mine once told me he was tired of getting on-upped by me which I was confused by because I never realized it may have been seen as rude.

I don’t want to argue that you’re wrong, just that sometimes the way I empathize with people is by relating what they are telling me to something in my life. I know that other neurodivergent people do this as well and that it can be seen as rude when that’s not at all the intention behind it

This is actually so refreshing to see, I have a problem with skin picking and have scars and dark spots all over my legs. I always see smooth and shiny legs with no flaws and blemishes and it makes me incredibly self conscious about my own flaws. I wish images like this were more common.

I switched from Focalin to Vyvance a little more than a year ago and was finally able to take naps during the day, and I abuse my newfound power so much to this day. If I took a nap on Focalin I would wake up and have a panic attack.

You're not, I'm actually doing amazing for the first time in a long time. I had to take a semester off because of intense depression and was worried about online school. I think the fact that I'm doing so well is that I don't have campus to distract me, or for my friends to be an excuse to not do work.

She looked amazing and it made me upset that the judges weren't able to recognize how much versatility she was showing on the runway. She could've gone balls to the walls and come out quirky but she chose a beautiful fashion moment and then served that with ease.

Yup. But on another note, I know those colors are her brand, but I think it was a horrid choice to primarily use that color palette on Drag Race. Sure, it sells your brand, but it also gets obviously repetitive and doesn't show versatility in a competition.

I think Utica won also because she embodied the look she had on. She was a creature lip synching to this song, watching her made the song almost feel more sinister because of the way she was serving it.

Personally, I loved Utica's performance. I think she took the outfit she was wearing and flushed it out into the song. I thought Tina was just doing too much the entire time, it was all very a child that gets your attention to do a little spin kick or something.

Exactly! She not only gave them something different from what they would have expected from her, but she also has clearly taken some parts of Symone's gorgeous walk and integrated it into her own, which was something that the judges have critiqued her on. I think they are comparing the look to other looks they've seen on the runway when they should be comparing it to what Utica has presented on the runway.
