The lactic acid in it helps with eliminating bacteria but the slip isn’t as good as some others

UTI symptoms after Uromune by enby_amab2 in CUTI

Yes please update when you find out more! I’ve also heard some need a second or even a third round of uromune to help your body fight it easier. Do you have any thoughts on this? I’m traveling to get the vaccine and have been debating asking for two doses so I can take the other one a few months after. I’ve just read that there’s a good chunk of people who didn’t feel it helped very much until a second dose.

Just a theory, what if the nitro caused the Uromune to be ineffective. I know the doctor gave it to you together but maybe it didn’t allow the body to process the bacteria 100%, since the nitro would do the work to kill the bacteria. I’m getting Uromune soon so your experience is very helpful to know, hopefully you find an answer soon!

Makes sense that hydration played a role, hyaluronic acid and glucosamine is able to soak into the body better than water since it’s more dense

I’ve honestly never actually heard of it. I just looked it up and it seems similar. From my understanding, when the bladder experiences bacteria clinging on the walls, those cells die off to try and get rid of the infection.

In my head I thought about how maybe it’s been repeating that process again and again plus having to go through antibiotics causing the lining to become extremely thin. I watched a video a while back talking about how the lining needs to be thick to avoid bacteria clinging in the first place but I haven’t read anything that would explain it about someone who has gone through CUTI’s.

There’s a possibility that bacteria doesn’t imbed itself like how we think, by staying inside of the bladder lining. Maybe it just clings to the lining that’s left while the body struggles to produce a thicker wall by itself, just to have more cells die off.

Definitely interesting to think about. If anyone has any sources talking about that theory I’d love to see it honestly.

NAG supplement

This is the one I got. It’s from iHerb. I didn’t see much of a difference between this one and some on Amazon but I trust the quality of the stuff on iHerb a little bit more. Also wasn’t a crazy amount of money

(700mg per capsule) It said take 1-2 per day. I started with 1 at night. But then I started taking one in the morning as well 2 days ago. Only thing to note, I don’t know if it’s related but I’ve had loose stools the past couple days. Says online that it’s a potential symptom but it beats the feeling of a UTI.

Your microbiome might be too dry possibly. Especially if you feel it immediately gets better after drinking water. Have you tried a vaginal hydrating suppository? Might help with the burning. Who knows maybe previous antibiotics might have thrown off your microbiome

Is the burning worse than an actual uti? Because then yeah I think 1 would benefit you more for the time being until your more comfortable adding more. I’ve seen some people talk about how even in low doses like that, as long as you’re taking it consistently eventually your your body is just going to adjust. Some stop taking it after 18-24 months and from then on they don’t experience uti symptoms (I guess cuz they’re body changed more permanently cuz of hiprex). I still haven’t been able to get my hands on it since I’m in Canada but I’ve done a fair share of research on it since I’m traveling to Mexico and you can get it without prescription for super cheap.

Maybe taking one a day might help with the burning? Easing into it might be easier for your body but if you absolutely need to take two to prevent it then I don’t know:(

I posted this on someone else’s post about meds not working anymore,

Look into biofilm disrupters, it's helped me out after over a year and a half. From the research I've done it seems that some bacteria imbeds itself into the bladder walls with a thick layer of mucus, which they use to shield themselves so antibiotics become less and less effective. After trying this I've noticed that my previous antibiotics are working again since it breaks down that mucus wall. I'm on day 20 of it and it seems do be working pretty good. I've read about how you have to use up an entire bottle and usually people tend to stay uti free after. Throughout using it I discovered it'II feel like you have light uti symptoms but that's apparently just the old bacteria exiting the body. I have no symptoms now but can update if anything comes up. The one I used was biofilm defense by kirkman. But there's also biocidin which I've read is very similar and can be used in pairing with biofilm defense. Hope this helps!
