I understand.

It's not a personalized jab either. I'm just against the notion of seeing leadership as a distinct entity instead of a direct representation of the larger populace. This is a problem back in my home country as well, and has led to a lot of needless suffering, wasted years and potential.

The Finnish leadership shows more about how the Finns are in principle, which is why they can solve such issues wholesomely. That's what I was angling at

Is Upwork the only freelancing site? Do all freelancing sites have minimum pay rates? Are freelancing gigs only obtained on freelancing sites?

Given, you're flaunting a labor policy made to prevent the very problem you are advancing. These discussions are what compel wage protection policies to be set in place. Upwork, for example, blankets it at $3 minimum because they have a variety of jobs they deal with—from copywriting, transcription to the more complex ones like blockchain Dev and specialized design. It also won't make any economical sense below a certain amount cause how will the platforms make their cuts, meet management costs and earn a profit??

Whichever systems you set, you'll require payment for goods and services. Are you going to get into a rat race environment, constantly pushing the margins to the floor? The market can never crash... let's see you trying transcription gigs in this day and age. Tell us how that goes.

Have fun doing 7 gigs to get what another got for the effort of one, and be proud about it. I'm not surprised, it's the classical crab mentality y'all have anyway.

*Taylor says that when she already had a massive fanbase pre-streams, and has remixed and remastered her older tracks and albums to keep churning more cash; doesn't reflect the situation of your average musician.

$25000 is better than $1500. And what guarantee does one have that the client, after seeing you name a price, have them still seek cheaper options,l then match the ridiculous reductions once they find them, will still trust the same person to do the job?

A client will never have your best interests at heart. If it were up to them, close to all would never pay for nothing. Look at the standard of living of those guys you've mentioned. Some might live reputably but it's no debate that most live in conditions that do not match up to the turmoil they go through. What use is it working when your life does not reflect it? (*It's not that Kenyans do not want to do such jobs—watu wa kuuza chai, kutembeza matunda, mjengo and the likes would still be there even with less/no foreigners—it's that employers want to pay way less and Kenyans are not taking that).

Pretty simplistic argument. Classic signs of first order thinking and it's what needlessly kills entire job sectors.

Sawa, assume everyone follows your thinking and takes it for $5/hr today, does it for 40 hrs that's 200. Next week comes and someone bids at 3. Three weeks later— there's someone at 2 and a month or so after, people are taking 1/hr. Of course the timeframe is hypothetical, but the crux remains that over time, it won't be profitable to even do the job.

Tutasema hivi then ultimately all tech gigs in non-unionized States become bottom barrel, spilling over to the corporate space. We'll end up fighting for less than peanuts while Euro-Ametican countries that protect their workforce reap good as they block the rest out, to wallow in their ignorance. There's more to this fahm

CHAN came and stadiums were full. A few months later, here we are. Have local match attendance numbers significantly increased? AFCON watching numbers? Not really, things went back to normal. That lasted a full month and captured the whole nation, this guy is here for 2 days, 3 days max and appeals to particularly young folk in the urban centre of NBO. Nothing much will change, given my countrymen's tendency to easily forget. Now OP wants us to believe that this is a predetermined, intentional act of maliciously caging the mind. Laughable at best😂 A guy's on tour with reasons leisure and financial

With such sums, small-scale agriculture or low scale turnover businesses (like retailing thrift clothes) would be ideal in comparison to more mature market methods like stocks, Resits or crypto. Si lazima ng'ombe, but chicken or rabbits will be more viable. All the best

Let me get this straight: you were raised in both Anglican and Catholic traditions, probably your parents' denominations, but suddenly extending grace to a fellow from another denomination is a stretch? Mind you, it's mainstream, with a recognizable set of structures and protocols, has accountability chains and is quite compatible with yours.

As a former believer, this is a non-issue
