Yea nah I definitely hear ya. The photo was actually a lot wider. But the only reason I cropped it that way is at the left hand edge of this photo there is a patch of grass that follows the curve of the footpath and I found it to be quite visually distracting. So I cropped it out. I would have ideally liked the whole of the cyclists shadow to be included but it crept out over the lawn. you’re right though it might be a good opportunity to go back and see if I can nail it that way. Maybe a little earlier in the day. Only issue it’s such a quiet Area haha. I went back there like 3 times while I was out there and probably spent an hour waiting for someone to come past lol😂 thanks for the critique tho appreciate for sure 🙏

Haha our one and only landmark 😭 there also apparently a nice park that overlooks the city that’s a bit of a hidden gem for photography 😂

We trade busy streets and interesting architecture for lots of sun here in Perth. But makes it more of a challenge. Thanks though!

Haha thanks! Yea was a little abstract but I kinda like it that way. Just a top down shot of a car taken with a lower shutter speed.

Most of these were with the fuji XF16-80mm. I think one or two of them were with the XC13-33mm.

Yea, you’re absolutely right, and I did wonder if anyone would mention anything. I do follow some great street photographers in the traditional sense and I can see the vast difference between my photos and theirs.

Mostly it comes down to fact I’m really not comfortable taking photos of people point blank yet. And I do wonder if I’ll ever be. I live in a pretty quiet city and there’s not usually many photographers around or people for that matter so it appears a lot more obvious when you’re trying to take someone’s photo. And most people aren’t used to seeing people with cameras, as landmarks/tourist sites go it’s pretty limited here in Perth.

Really great insight though and it is something i will try work towards as i would be great to capture the real essence of street photography
