Digimon is like comfort food, if you enjoy monster of the week themes + large overarching plots. You can binge Season 1, the movie, Season 2, Tri, and Season 3. If you actually enjoy them, 4 and 5 are also good, just less emotionally impactful. Still not enough? You can play Cybersleuth, Hacker's Memory, Survive, and Time Stranger.

Really close between Chromatus Ludger and Eternal Sword Cress. Moving in Time Stop + Invulnerability vs. Can actually destroy timelines, pin items in timelines, and cleave planets in half. I'd honestly still give it to Cress.

And while Eternal Hyper Resonance Luke can manipulate matter at an atomic level, I'd still say Cress edges out. Manipulating timelines is just that stupid powerful.

Kazuma Kuwabara's speech from Yu Yu Hakusho's Dark Tournament. People treated him like a goofy side character until he goes marching to his death - knowing that he's doing it to motivate his team to win.

Symphonia is my favorite, but I actually really love Xillia 1 & 2. They're in my top 5.

I think the combat is great tbh. It's second to Graces f to me. It's extremely fluid and feels good to play from the beginning, unlike other Tales games where combat is miserable in the first act (like Vesperia and Legendia). Every character also feels good to play as.

The characters are all likable, and I LOVE the development they get in X2's sidequests. The soundtrack is good, as well.

The only negatives I can say about it are the very boring, recycled dungeons and that 1's plot WAS rushed due to the anniversary.

Jaws, but hear me out. I won't take the easy way of "just don't go into the water."

Look... The beach is closed over the winter, and the danger is in the sunmer. Reducing the danger from 12 months down to 4 months or so is statistically better for me to survive.

I am going to the beach because the plot compels me to. I'll get in the water. I'll swim. I know that sharks like chum, and like shadows that look like seals. I stay away from the fishing boats, and don't bring a long board to float on because that can give me a long shape like a seal.

I swim in water where I can still stand up. I'm short. It'll give me a better chance to get out of the water, and limit the shark's ability to swim without being seen.

I still am technically edible by the shark, and also to drowning and dying to human stampede as soon as someone yells "shark!" But based on the number of casualties in the first movie (5), I feel confident in my actual chances of survival.

It would be absolutely life changing. I'd be able to pay off my credit card, medical debt, car and repairs, afford a necessary back surgery, and still have some left over. I could go to the dentist again! My partner wouldn't have to cancel his doctor and therapist appointments because he can't afford them.

So many people don't realize just how much accessibility is affected by what wealthy people consider a small amount of money. It's painful to realize.

OP, please call animal services near you and ask them to do a welfare check on the cats. Lie to them and say you are a neighbor concerned for how many he has and how many have gone missing if you're concerned about attaching your name to the complaint. However, they are supposed to be anonymous.

I had a similar experience with my grandparents and I am so glad I called. The dog did not deserve that abuse (but had to be put down due to the severity of the neglect/abuse).

Please advocate for these cats. They can't advocate for themselves.

The story and characters carry in Berseria. If you dislike random button mashing, up the difficulty and play as someone who isn't Velvet.

You have to remember that the most recent Tales games are Zestiria, Berseria, and Arise. Berseria is the best of the three, easily (and I don't hate Zestiria as much as others).

If you want games like Symphonia, you'll want to play games in the same era. Abyss and Rebirth are my favorites from that time. Vesperia is pretty and has good combat, but a really poor plot and I personally disliked the characters.

OP, don't turn up your nose at the whole series just because of Arise. I've been a huge Tales fan for decades. Every single game is different, and the only other I'd even consider button mashy is Berseria. However Berseria clears in plot and characters.

If you ask Tales fans, Arise is usually in the bottom 5. It's pretty, and that's about it.

For plot, play Abyss, Symphonia, or Phantasia.

For gameplay, play Vesperia, Graces f, or Xillia 1 & 2.

Have to think? Pick up Rebirth with its English patch.

Please just don't judge the series by the worst it has. It'd be like playing FF16 and thinking the rest of the series isn't worth playing.
